I was amazed when I heard that they are going paperless this season, from what i seen last year they were lightyears away.
All sundries etc. need to be exactly the same for both teams, extra care has to be taken by both captains to ensure everything adds up perfectly, poor Clarko is going to go grey as this season.

I agree and when 8-9 blokes are doing the scorebook things can start to look a tad, disgusting.

It always turns to a botch job when multiple hands touch the book, one dedicated scorer knowing what he or she are doing are a valuable asset to a cricket side, almost as vital as a good skipper. Maybe the job for the old blokes of the club to take upon themselves instead of still hobbeling about out there. *is that you in the two this week?

And the 47 variations of a no-ball or wide. When there's a run taken after a no-ball has gone past the keeper. I remember scoring one day with a woman from North Pines and someone hit two sixes in a row from beamers, she had no-balls on 12, our books didn't add up as I refused to acknowledge that the 6's belonged to no-balls, it was quite amusing.

That robbed me of my first 50 and then my first 100, same deal, same club, however I was playing "FOR" North Pines at the time. Finished on 48 not out and 99 not out, with 5 and 7 runs in the "No Balls" category, Shattered.

Couldn't agree more, one thing i will miss from turf is having a perfectly neat and tidy score book every week. Surely can't be too hard to find one person around the club that wants to do it? Who does our books Smitty??

Dedicated scorers are just gold (assuming they know what they're doing) but even someone from the batting side would be able to score at least most of the innings and know what's going on.

i read all the posts mate, and it was sour grapes to me. bowling 1 ball off the pitch doesnt warrant you coming on here and saying he struggles to hit the pitch. Your not at ATCO any more mate, dont try and ruin Brahma's image.

I hope to god it is not a Pretty image, Heargreaves, Brown, Sibs, Patterson are a bunch of ugly, ugly men. They haven't added much this year with Groover, Gower, Hutima or Richardson. Thank christ they have the three Luke's keeping a handsom face about the place, Nelson, Drewitt and Tulloch.

Can I just say, as I sit here at my desk and peer out the window towards the Parabanks carpark and shopping center, without a cloud visable and the sun beating down, the smell of summer is in the air and I am finally keen for cricket once again. It has taken me 2/3 years to get keen again, but the influence Brahma and the Culture at the club has really moved me. I couldn't be at a better organisation.

I can vouch he loves the joint as during footy season he probably spent in one night more than what most people spend in a year

I plan to spend far more cash over the bar this summer also. Few good social gatherings I hope!

Pretty piss poor that almost a week has past and still teams are yet to be updated on my cricket, Score sheets are yet to be finalised and there are clubs with grades below them with all the info added correctly.

I agree, i was told it had to be done by Sunday morning so i did it Sat night, only to find hardly any other sides have done it

... its a pain waiting till Monday for the paper to see how the opposition sides went!

Yeah you are right. Our guys can only score 218 against OTH seconds. Swap them with Angle Vale.

Was only a tongue in cheek comment about the game on the weekend anyways, slow oval so 218 was more like 260....although it appears the mowers have been out during the week. Thanks Salisbury council. I'm betting 4 washouts on the weekend anyway.
