Weather not looking too flash for you guys mate, you'd only need 2-3 overs to knock off the runs!!!! Would be very disappointed if this continues, although saying that the BOM reckons only a shower or 2. You might be able to squeeze in 15 minutes of cricket.

not looking the best but went past playford on my way home from work and as usual the oval isnt to bad at all.

Playford oval is probably the best for water drainage in the league as it is similar to football park in the middle (pitch) is at the highest point of the ground so everything runs off it.

Fingers crossed, heres hoping.

He may have only made 38 last weekend - his first hit in almost a year, but the last time you made 38 or more was back in round 7 last year when you made your 100  if i were you i'd be more worried about putting some runs on the board rather than worrying about a blokes future

the 5 players you have mentioned have all played at there clubs in the past  i can only laugh at the ingle farm two wells comment, cause i no you must think you hit a nerve with that one.. yeah good idea going to turf cause it wont look like you paid/ recruited a premiership if ya finally get one....

yep means nothing till march but will prob get some more ammo for that march clash..

You can spin the story anyway you want, but in the end recruiting is recruiting, regardless if they've played there already

The comment about Two Wells/Ingle Farm wasn't a personal dig, more to highlight the fact that you have been "recruited" before.

This whole topic about recruiting is going nowhere as everyone has a differing opinion. Agree to disagree I guess and lets get on with the cricket.

I drove past on my way home too, and it actually looked quite good. Does seem to have good drainage. Would be a waste not to get a result after such a bowling spell ;)

Yeah the 3 years i played out there we never had a washout, including one week where 95% of the games were called of except for ours there.

Tell me about my spell, i had kids coming up to me after the innings asking if i was Warney in disguise, it wasnt until about the 5th kid i realised they were talking about my new found weight and not my bowling ability. ;)

Nah got lucky ordinary batting.

After saying Playford oval should up i think the latest downpour has probably just ended a few games right there.

Looks like this rain cloud coming over Parafield has enough in it to end some games, not much behind it on the radar map but would probably be the final straw for some ovals. Looks like Virginia might be spared, 1 game out of 4.....

Yep have to agree,

unfortunatly i dont think Playfords ground will quite hold up especially considering they wont be in any hurry to have the oval playable due to current game situation.

Funnilly enough though i think we may have 2 guys who cant play today, they have already batted but would make it interesting IF second innings come along.

Whats the weather like at the moment out that way? Im in Kensington and its dry at the moment..

Also whats the ruling with the rain, if you take the field in a light shower you have to stay on dont you? Or will the games just not commence until it stops and or stop if rain comes?
