CC confirmed as retired, but straight off to Will Grove Stud at Woodside to be served by Mint Lane a Group 2 winner in the US in 2008 who Dad was a grey so be interesting to see what colour the foal comes out as!

At a $5.5k service fee and just agistment to pay its a pretty cheap way to get a nice fresh horse in a couple of years time.

Thanks CP, got to be pretty lucky to get a horse that wins one race, so to have a horse like her its pretty hard to be disappointed. Got all of her wins on DVD's so be plenty of reminiscing in the future. Who knows how she will go as a Mum but it will be a fun ride for a while yet!

looks like Mint Lane can handle the dirt, so I would assume any prodigies would go well at Port agutter :D

seriously though CC was not only a good earner for owners but generally put in 100% for us loyal punters

In the Cox Plate, worth noting that Wall Street's time in winning last start over the Cox Plate distance of 2040m was 2-2.97. The Moonee Valley track record, set by Might and Power,
is 2-3.54.

Just a five buck win on More Joyous in the Plate for me, just because I'd love to see So You Think get done after the massive hype around it. I thought $1.50 was a bit nuts, and now it's in to $1.43 on Sportsbet.

Yes it was, in Hastings, on a Good track. The formlines read fairly well, setting very good sectionals in defeating Ginga Dude, which was very impressive defeating a good field at Caulfield last week in the David Jones Cup.

The trainer, Jeff Lynds, said after the Doncaster, that it simply didn't handle racing in that direction and was on the wrong leg throughout. $23 may prove the correct price for it, but it tends to be an on-pace runner that, from barrier four, can slide across to a good spot with So You Think in its sights somewhere.

I thought the same thing Dutchy. But I reckon it's because people stay and spend money later into the day than if it was race 7. So purely a financial decision.
