I believe that Bain is off to have shot at county cricket in England during the off season.

Wouldn't surprise me. Was mentioned last year as well but stayed back to play football.

The rumour was Kurtz was supposed to be playing the T20 comp but Brett Burgess gave the guy from Port the wrong number...twice.
Apparently had the motto, if I am not in then no-one from Ango is.
Hence Kurtz never received the call.
From what I hear he wasn't keen anyway, only plays cricket to hang out with the boys at Ango.
Says a lot for how good a bunch of blokes they are.

on current form... the angry bulls' BLCA team for 2010/2011 is...

1. Norm (sandy) B
2. Burgess, Ben (ango) B
3. Mullins (GV) AR
4. Kingy (GC) B
5. Richie Mattner (LP) B
6. Lyds (Nuri) B
7. Bohdan Wall (Tan) WK
8. C. Roberts (sandy/port adelaide) BW
9. T. Jungfer (Nuri) BW
10. Brett Burgess (ango) BW
11. Doecke (nuri) BW

12th man Mcloughlin(sandy)
13th man AP(nuri)
Please actually be serious.. High percentage of Ang and sandy players but were grand finalist last year pretty comfortably aswell.

If i was to take that side away to a carnival illd be expecting to come away with a few W's... bit heavy on the bowling though, although its not the youngest bowling line up ever. But... If i was to pick an overall side, including A1 reserves and players from town who play back here frequently... I would go with...

1. G. Bain (ango/ND)... best batsmen from the district (excluding s.hurn) although not sure if he does come back anymore, maybe days could shed some light on that one...
2. C.Reimann (Kap)... huge presence and big bombs
3. C. Mullins (GV)... all class, good all round performer
4. Norm (sandy)... unfortunate fact, the bloke can play
5. J. Vandy (GV/Port Adelaide)... best player in or around the comp
6. Bohdan (Tan)... the crabman just keeps on going, runs and gloving well.
7. Lyds (nuri)... who said he's losing his eyesight, very good batsmen
8. R. Johnson (Kap)... Just keeps taking wickets, and making runs, soft runs though!!!!! ;)
9. C. Roberts (sandy/Port Adelaide)... superb cricketer, probably loves the game a bit too much, quite scary infact.
10. D. Doecke (Nuri)... probably getting a little long in the tooth, but a great experienced head for young hoffy to bowl with
11. C. Hoffman (Greenock/ND) bowls absolute rapid when he wants, throws the dummy a bit and prone to overstepping and bowling a little short, but... if he wants to hit you in the head... he will.

12th S. Ryan (Kap)... sames as doecks, good bowler with experience, handy lower order hitter too
13th Ben Burgess (ango)... needs to be in the squad, bac up with the gloves and a proven run getter
14th John Lienert (Free)... toss up between burgess 2.0 and big johnny, but lienert is consistent, consistently boring, he can tie down one end for overs on end and grab a few wickets too, brettys probably more interested in what sort of smoo would be floating around the front bar after the game. ;)

Not sure how u get any kapunda players in there bull, think u might be thinking of past deeds
They cant even beat south gawler with full strength side
S Ryan wouldnt make the best 11 cricketers in A1 res, been awhile since u seen a game up here i would suggest

Brett Burgess. $1.25
Simon Koch. $6.30

Bill Fuller ****. $14.00

given the physiques of the sprinting talent here id like to see a reverse handicap
the heaviest starting from the furtherest back and the next not being able to start until the heaviest reaches him

so would have burgess 22 yards, fuller 26, hands 30, koch 34, that would make for a great betting race

joff and robbie are still great cricketers... i could agree with the sammy ryan commentthough, maybe AP would be a better suit, but im still confident my side will beat all, if not most, others selected

Yeah id say look out tanunda the big fella is in a foul mood and may be looking to take out his anger on the weekend. Not just the 2 goldies but the 23 run over aswell after bowling a great first 3 overs.

I just spoke to Detective Obvious of the 'Who gives a crap police', he said you guys are boring him completely with your lack of knowledge,
Kurtz has not done anything barr the 1 day final last year and is a dubious inclusion in any side.
You shouldn't get a gig in a team as a professional fielder.
There must be guys from more than 2 or 3 teams worthy of a gig.
1st guy I would pick is Jimmy Vandeleur, anyone who can pitch the crap out of the ball like that has to be automatic selection.
Only runs he goes for when he is on, is behind the wicket.
2nd pick would be Leigh 'I am a pratt on the field but off field ok' ratclffe, tight bowling extraordinaire.
Rob Johnson, Ben Burgess, Brett Burgess, Aaron KIng (that hurt to say), would all be amongst it.
Norm, you would get a gig, as an 'All-rounder', Pun intended (Just Kidding).
Bohdan (great name) Wall, Brett Lydeamore, Daniel Doecke, Matt George.
Boof would be amongst the mix, Vader maybe. 12th and 13th. Scott Rathjen in form is totally worth a shot.
Roberts bowled 3 different shades of poop on the weekend and is out of my squad.
Would back this side against some of the Monkey mix that has been fronted up so far.
