NSW has problems

Postby mal » Tue Nov 09, 2010 9:00 am

NSW at full strength is something to behold ?
At the minit we have a rare occurence, SS teams have International players up for selection
NSW have problems
Big big problems
I have assembled a squad of players

BATSMAN

CLARKE
HENrebIQUES
HUGHES
JAQUES
KATICH
KHAWAJA
MADDINSON
ROHRER
SMITH
WATSON
WARNER

BOWLERS

BRACKEN
BOLLINGER
CAMERON
CLARK
COYTE
COPELAND
HAURITZ
HAZELWOOD
OKEEFE
STARC

KEEPER
HADDIN

This weeks SS game v VI will be very interesting
Not playing are :
KATICH broken thumb
HENrebIQUES always injured ?
BRACKEN where is he now ?
WARNER is still overseas after that slogathon comp ?
HAZELWOOD injured ?

With those players unlikley what side would you pick ?
Who will open the batting ?

MALS TEAM

WATSON
HUGHES
JAQUES
CLARKE
KHAWAJA
HADDIN
SMITH
HAURITZ
STARC
CLARK
BOLLINGER

Would that team be the strongest team at SS level in the last 20 years ?
Just imagine if the other 5 players were not injured or available .

Henriques= Batsman??
ODI's: 18 @ 9.
T20's: 1 @ 1.
1st class: 825 @ 30.55.
ODD: 615 @ 21.96.
BB: 398 @ 16.58.

Come on mal. Sorry mate, I just think he's extremely over-rated. ;) . I see your point though, their 2nd eleven would probably knock us off, come to think of it, they did.

Copeland ahead of Cameron coming off a bag? Not so sure about that. Looks crap without the Kat. ;)

If Katich was available, who do you leave out of the above side? Smith, Hauritz or Jacques. Amazing side really.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Is the Kat available, if so it's bye bye to Phil Jacques IMO. Copeland has simply been amazing since he has come on the scene! It's a bloody hard choice that's for sure?

Do you think they need 4 pacemen and 3 spinners?

3 quicks and a spinner, plus 2 batting allrounders in that side! Clarke and Katich wouldn't bowl! So yeah that's the side I would go with

Any team that has hauritz in it has got problems. Would think he would be lucky to be 3rd best spinner in nsw team and about 6th in australia

I think their full strength side in the early/mid 90's was stronger with Taylor, Slater, Waugh x 2, Bayliss, Bevan, McGrath, MacGill etc etc.

NSW have named thier squad
BOLLINGER still injured and wont take part
I have taken the liberty of naming a possible batting order

WATSON
HUGHES
JAQUES
CLARKE
KHAWAJA
HADDIN
SMITH
HAURITZ
STARC
CLARK
COPELAND

12TH MAN CAMERON

KATICH and BOLLLINGER are likely inclusions for the next match vrs TA
BOLLINGER would replace either CAMERON or COPELAND
KATICH would replace ????? JAQUES ???
No spot for WARNER

CAPTAIN
Stuart CLARKE and not Michael CLARK for this game
One ponders who would captain if KATICH was playing

Watto dropped him off Starc when on about 70. A very tough chance though.
