Brighton may have two Rigney's running around for them on 2011. ;)

Heard the Cove boys aren't too happy about this either I hope the Brighton Boys are willing to back up a new team mate, from what you hear on here doesn't seem likely!

Baker is actually really good friends with alot of Brighton boys so I'm sure it won't be a problem. Top bloke

Baker must have had some bloody good reasons for making the move to brighton. Wanting to play under Sam mahony ???? I hear he promised $am one year if he got an a grade position . Maybe a falling out with cove I see alot have left or thinking of leaving?? Anyway the bombers are a very tight unit and would be very happy to have him on board..

I think the deal was done before that but he is a great pick up for the bombers. It's not all about the $$ as he was offered a lot more to play further south in the SFL.

Stays fit???!!! Yeah he is quite overweight at the moment!
He weighs about 50kg and half the time gets blown around by the wind (including upward!), I don't think i've ever seen Trev with his hands on his knees out of steam. I think it has something to do with his chips and gravy diet! ;)
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!

Is trev a tall, big strong marking forward? If not isn't that what the bombers lacked last year. So I why would you use large sums of money on players they have already got. Its not like Brighton lack goal kickers. They had 2 forwards that kicked around the 70 mark last year, a b grader that kicked around 100 goals for the last 2 years aswell as 100 goals in the under 18s and they had an under 18s this year who is a strong lad that will play senior footy next year kick a 100+ goals this year. So you would have to question some of the decision making at bomberland. Its simple give some of the up a commers ago. You don,t have to play them all at once but give them a crack have a development plan in place, and stick with them and teach them. Then they will get that flag they have been chasing for alot of years.

Yep agree.... but all of the above players mentioned can learn a sh!t load from Trev and may possibly find it a little easier in the forward line with him roaming around!!

I agree, spot on.
The young up & commers will get their opportunity i have no doubt about that, the future of Brighton is those young lads, the worse thing for those young ones is outsiders getting in the ear of these kids & telling them they are ready & should be in the side, when they ain't ready. Persistance is the key & these young lads should be puting alot of pressure on the regulars to perform, if they don't perform ( the regulars ) theirs no excuse for them not to be dropped, thats when these youngsters get their opportunity & start to cement their spot in the side.
The experienced players at Brighton must help the coaching staff as much as possible with the developement of the kids, don't just expect them to make their mark, help them make their mark.
