Final Scores - Game 2:

Adelaide Bite - 7 (Great come from behind win)

Melbourne Aces - 4 (let an early 3-0 lead slip)

Vetern pitcher Darren Fidge threw 8 complete frames including a strike out of all 3 batters in his final inning...

The Bite sink their teeth into the Aces again and now have a 2-0 series lead...

Game 3 and 4 to follow in a Double Header tomorrow with the first game at 4pm, followed by a 7pm contest

Somewhat dissapointing crowd yet again with 1,539 fans showing up, perhaps the weather kept a few at home and half the Parade was closed off tonight for a Fashion Parade...

hopefully the sun comes out later on this arvo and people can go from the cricket to the baseball.

General Manager Pat Kelly was hoping for 3,000 at the opening game on Thursday night...

I know times have changed a bit, but they used to get between 8-10,000 at the Parade when the Giants where in their prime...

Not sure if there are any mt79...

Some clubs have a close affiliation with some major league clubs because they are involved with them as talent scouts or former players or coaches...

i think $12.00 is a bit over the top considering sanfl footy is $10.00....if i was in charge i'd have it at $7.00 or $8.00 to entice more people to go

I don't think $12 is too bad at all.

Baseball isn't a cheap sport. They pretty much go through about 150-200 baseballs a night and they wouldn't be cheap.

$12 to get into what is a National Competition isnt too bad. One could say the SANFL is over-priced at $10 given it is only a state league

i understand the costs involved including airfares & accomodation, i was trying to say if it was that little bit cheaper you will probably get the 50/50's going ie ''bums on seats''....2 adults & 2 kids ($5.00) & there is $34.00 out of the family budget & that's before the food & merchandise comes into it.....it doesn't worry me because i can afford it but some families just can't & definately can't back up 2 & 3 nights in a row

$12 is pretty good considering it's $33 for the 36ers

sanfl definitely not over priced. anything past $25 is hard to justify imo

Took my Kids to their 1st baseball games tonight ... they loved it, especially the chase the mascot race and the ice cream in the baseball helmet.... then my daughter got a baseball (which alas made my son sad ... kids) which the mascot signed post match.

All up a good night, my highlight outside of the above and two big home runs from Quincey Latimore was the adult comp to run 10 circles then be 1st to the mascot about 20m away. The fan from Melbourne started losing his pants going around and around the bat before falling flat on his face when he tried to run to the mascot ... hysterical. (Mental note ... must introduce to Eagle home games. )

Only suggestion is to have something happening between the games ... 50 mins was a fair break.

Also the Bite played very well and if this is a guide to the rest of the year there will be a lot to lok forward to.
