Hussey will go before North. North made a ton in India and made some runs against the Jellybacks. Hussey has made 3 runs in 3 sheffield shield digs

North should've failed twice against the 'backs  dubious LBW IIRC

Only way smith will play is replacing north.

Khawaja or Ferguson would be more likely replace hussey. I tip hussey will retire from test cricket at end of series and concentrate on short game for a couple years as his form in 50, 20/20 is good still to hold a place.

North is not in as an allrounder. He is in as a batter.
North will not be dropped for the first test.
Hussey will be IMO, and Smith has to be the leading candidate after making runs under those conditions in Hobart.

which is a joke when he never make runs when a team is in trouble lately and hussey probably better batting at 6.

North is playing a role in the team as batter which bowls as the 6th option after watson

australias top 7 in todays Shield games

Watson 6
Katich 1
Ponting 7
Clarke Rested
Hussey 0 from 18 balls
North 17
Haddin 10

eventhough Ferguson only got 7 today i think he will play in Brisbane, Hussey cant get a run and With Swan Englands big hope, the selectors wont want to pick another lefty so thats why they will go for Ferguson rather than Khawaja.

We have a winner in the lucky dip. Give smith a cap. I said a few months ago to watch for okeefe. Geoff lawson loves him and thinks he could be great.

If Geoff Lawson had his way the no-one would represent Australia other than NSW players.
Insert Greg Mathews name above as well.

Can honestly say I have never heard of O'Keefe, but just looked at his stats and he's averaging 53 with the bat and 25 with the ball in his 9 1st class matches for NSW. Superstar, get him into that no.6 position! Time to re-build and p-off North
