Saw him play a couple of years ago and he looked promising but i never thought he would progress as quickly as he has. We need to fast track guys like this into team. He is still raw but get some good teachers to work with him and look out. Could we see a smith/okeefe tandem attack over the years to come?

Poms are giving Steve Smith a lesson in how to bowl and get smashed all over the park, 6 overs 0/41 at almost 7 an over! No good!

Whilst all the Aussie batsman are really struggling, seems as though the English are really hitting form with the bat at the right time

Gee your jumping the gun aren't you?

Talented but not ready yet. Neither is Smith IMO. His bowling is not up to scratch.

Johnny O'Keefe is currently a better option than Hauritz.

England all out for 523.

O'Keefe the only bowler who really took his chance and finished with 4 wickets at not a bad economy. Not sure it will be enough though.

Now the batsmen have another day and half to state their case again.

I think O'Keefe has done enough in this match to give him a crack at the gabba! He is only young, but he consistantly hits better areas than Smith and turns it more than Hauritz.

Also he did make some runs as well so clearly no slouch

Okeefe is no chance at the Gabba! Heis not even in the squad!

I think Doherty wil play, specifically to get Pieterson out, his record against left arm orthodox bowlers is poo! And he did alot more than hauritz in the shield game, howmany overs did hauritz bowl? No confidence from katich himself..

Personally, I haven't seen enough of either Doherty or O'Keefe (apart from this match & the ODI the other week) to really compare the two. However, what I have seen Doherty looks the better bowler, but O'Keefe can bat. With so many doubts about our top order, having O'Keefe coming in at 8 at the Gabba wouldn't be the silliest move.

Khawaja out for a golden quacker. He won't get up for the Gabba now I don't reckon. Fergie's turn now.
