And they do their best to trade them back if they do go interstate.

It's certainaly good to see Brodie staying here in Adelaide, not that I expect to see him much in an Eagles jumper over the next 10 years. We certainaly have been lucky not too lose too many interstate recently, but it probably goes in cycles and will even out over the next 5 or so years.
Trust the process.

Re the WWT luck come draft day - what sort of deal have they got with the Crows - and to think they get good $$$ too if the players clock up enough games in the AFL as well as having them not leave the State. Does Bill Sanders name ring a bell?

Interesting that on 5AA this afternoon Graham Cornes alluded to the fact that draft collusion could occur in these circumstances without mentioning a club although Rowey quickly pointed out he was referring to the Eagles!

Last 5 players drafted from Eagles to stay in SA prior to Smith I think have all been to Port - Stewart, Redden, Dawson, Salter and Broadbent.

Funny thing is Brodie Smith barracks for the Power (or did) and his Dad is mad Port Magpies and is a club sponser. Very good pick up for the Crows good luck to him. Ron Fuller rated him as being up there with the best to come through the Eagles. There are still some very good rookies left to choose from.

Not quite, Petrenko was selected in the same draft as Stewart.

Obviously there is the rookie draft to go but extremley happy how that went from a Central point of view, thought Lee Spurr may have gone but cant really see him been rookie listed.

Norwood now looking for a new half back line :D

Rookie draft will be the big killer for the older players in clubs, although I don't know how in vogue the "mature player" selections will be this year.
