Its not like Brighton lack goal kickers. They had 2 forwards that kicked around the 70 mark last year, a b grader that kicked around 100 goals for the last 2 years aswell as 100 goals in the under 18s and they had an under 18s this year who is a strong lad that will play senior footy next year kick a 100+ goals this year. So you would have to question some of the decision making at bomberland. Its simple give some of the up a commers ago. You don,t have to play them all at once but give them a crack have a development plan in place, and stick with them and teach them. Then they will get that flag they have been chasing for alot of years.

As an outsider looking in, have never been able to understand playing hoare infront of JMac. I dont know the bloke personally, but JMac could teach as much as anyone in that forward line. For a reasonably young bloke, seems to have a great head on his shoulders and his ability speaks for itself. Hasnt been given much of a run in the 1's, and must be crying out for a go soon. Would fit into anyone elses goalsquare quite nicely if you ask me. ;)

Not real tall or big, but very strong overhead.

As someone who has had Trev take an absolute screamer of them, he has serious hops.

And takes the big marks way too often for it to be flukey- a superb talent.

Trev might not be tall and big but plays tall and has very good hands. Can play forward or anywhere around the middle and will still give you goals. He is the X factor that Brighton might have been missing. Sam mahony will be looking closely at what other talent is floating around the club he is a smart footballer fresh out of the game with good ideas and a strong passion for success. Who knows he might even have a strong tall marking forward up his sleeves. ??

There is also another running around in the 2's at the bay that would kick a few @ SFL level. What brighton lacked last year was a CHF (after Twomey went anyway) Trev will be a handy addition but a decent sized forward with give Sam the flexibility they need.

Johnny Mac and Jimmy Mc are both great juniors but only around the 6 foot mark.

Dalby from CLG off to flaggies next year, will be interesting to see how he goes with the obvious increase in quality of defender. wish the bloke all the best and hope he gets the dukes out and snags a couple next year!

Must mean they couldn't get Butcher back off Onkas.

Probably because the $500 that he is on a game an Onkas is far too much for what he is worth...

Didn't he come top 3 leading goal kickers in HFL Central?

Maybe you couldn't pay him what he was worth.

Seen him kick the most unbelievable snap on his left side (i think he is left) in the final VS Mt. Lofty this year.

I rate him highly.

yeah right T express. young fellas young ideas = who knows.
So lets just wait to see what Sammy can do for the bombers throughout the year. With trev running around up forward, i hope you dont do your usual floating around the forward line. If i can kick 4 with you there, you have no hope of stopping trev!

Not wanting to have a dig at Flaggies, as I know how hard recruiting is in this current age, but is recruiting Div 6 players the way to go? Surely not......

Sensing a bit of jealousy here reppoh? Maybe you're just a bit sour that no one thinks you're worth anything!! Not knowing the bloke, or anyone at Flaggies for that matter, he was the only player we ever had a plan for when we played your mob. Then again, he could have just been the best out of a bad bunch.....

Full forward that is the size of a midfielder. Will struggle big time against the top 4 but will kick bags against Hackham and Aldinga.

Not at all Addict... I couldn't care what other people and clubs thought of me as a player nor anyone else at our club.

Butcher left for a fair amount of coin to play at Onkas, the club met with him in the off-season and for what ever reason he did not decide to return to Flaggy and instead stayed on with Onkas. Our club is not one that will pay 1 person $500+ a game if we can get 2 or 3 quality players that suit us more than Butcher. And yes Butcher is a good player, but we have a young forward who kicked 70 goals last season and obviously isn't playing for $500 a game. We need to better our team in other areas rather than the goal square when we are recruiting players...

Didn't Harvey play for the same club in div 6 then go on to play Association in GSFL and B&F?
