Harris and Smith must be playing Grade cricket for a few months now.

Klinger up to open and bring in some of the kids performing in grade cricket.

I know its off topic BUT,

ok i have followed the AFL for years but never been passionate about any sides.

yeah the word i have is that the GC are extremly keen on picking up Lee Spurr today, he is a mate and someone who i have followed from the moment he landed at Centrals.

Even if they dont pick up Spurr the Gold Coast is my favourtie location in Australia, following this side means it gives me an excuse to go up to the GC a few times a year to watch them play.

Plus ill be able to say i have seen every game my team has played in its history. ;)

Get rid of Harris & Smith, bring in Tom Moffatt, Klinger open and how about a Jake Brown?

presumeably he had been told that as well then - which would be great for him to kno wconsidering he played real well last seasaon and got a score in the first game of the season - no wonder our young players hardly ever develop or play with any confidence. jenners article on teh weekend with cullen bailey highlights this same issue

Fergie back next game, so does give opportunity to promote Moffat (on his massive weight of runs) and jettison (as you put it) Smith and Harris. The only problem then is who will open, Klinger can (he does anyway so far this year) and Cooper perhaps. I think they will send Smithy back to Grade cricket and Fergie will come in, unfortunately leaving young Tom waiting for his opportunity.

I don't think there are any other openers apart from Jason Borgas who are making consistent runs at grade level.

Cranmer? The same one who averaged 13 last season and about 27 this season so far?

Moffat would be worth a look though, I agree.

And me

Cranmer injured at the moment and not playing Grade Cricket, hammy perhaps rings a bell.
