I hear you REB. Your call for Harris and Bollinger is based on rotating the pace bowlers after long bowling stints in Brisbane. England's bowlers had a fair work out in Brisbane too so will they be freshening up as well? I'd hope these guys are fit enough these days to back up alright.

I think the others calling for Harris and Bolllinger aren't doing it to give Johnson and Hilf a rest. I think they think Harris and Bollinger are better options regardless.

As said before, I would make the one change (Bollinger in for Hilfenhaus) so we aren't that far apart in our views except that it's Bollinger's firepower I am after rather than giving Hilf a rest.

If only Ranga McDonald didnt break his hand, could of been handy at 7, Haddin at 6, extra bowler may be needed on these roads. Also believe Shuan Marsh should be next in line for the next batting spot when it comes up, I know his back has been a bit of a problem but he is averaging over 100 this year in the SS. Think he may have leap froged Usman and Ferg.

Bring in Copeland!! He is the form bowler in the land! He got picked ahead of the SAFooty favourite in Cameron!

North and Johnson should not be in the side - most have that same view at the moment!

I actually don't think Copeland should play, but should be Bollinger, Sids and the Hilf IMO ... The replacement for North at the WACA, well I don't care, just anyone please

4 Shield games this year 3 tons avg 93, SR - 88
7wkts avg 36, econ - 2.42
There not figures of someone who is 5hit, there figures of a batsman who has been belting the bowling all over the park. 7 handy wkts also, his economy is the key. Could hold up a end while the quicks roar in at the other. Like i said reb, pity he is injured.

Have color coded my responses... :D

If only Warney hadn't retired too...

Agree he could handle that

Disagree, only if Kat isn't fit... Marsh can have the back up opening slot over Phil Hughes, but if he takes a middle order slot and Kat is out, then Haddin may have to bat at the top, which means another change as well

Negative

Would love to see ponting drop to 4. He wont admit it but age catches up with you and i feel he could prolong his career by a couple of years with a move down the order. Open with watson and hughes and katich at 3. Okeefe or smith much better option than north. Would love to see a younger quick have a crack. Copeland or cameron would be fine.
I think the weak as piss selectors will play the same 11 though. Havnt got the kahunas to drop anyone

Fergie for North on his home deck.
Bring back the horses for courses policy.
I think Doherty will stay in the team however I would lean to O'Keefe for his all round strength.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.
