Is anyone actually trying to get a wicket FFS?

Sounds like a good idea dedja, IMO the selctors should consider it at this point in time.

It doesn't look like it at the moment, they're just kinda going through the motions.

How many balls would have genuinely beaten the bat in England's innings so far? There's been 468 legal deliveries .... I'd go for 15 :)

I don't agree with playing fellas purely on their record (which is why I'd knick off Ponting and North for in form Khawaja and Ferguson)...

In regards to the bowling, Siddle (based on First Test) and Harris (15 wickets in two Shield games), are the only two that should be there.

X, Rug, Hilf, MJ aren't on form, so I'd look outside the square...

Who is taking wickets?

SWAN, COPELAND 22 wickets
CAMERON 20
BUTTERWORTH 19
DAMIEN WRIGHT 17

In their defence, HAURITZ and DOHERTY are the leading spinners in teh comp, each with 11.

In all my years of cricket,

When things get tough,

The captain takes the ball and throws the arm over,

Sometimes it works....

Why persist with "Watson"???
Smile :)

Chappelli always did that or threw the ball to Walters, even used Ken Eastwood in a test who got a wicket and broke a huge partnership. when I look at Ponting, it's like he is in a movie and has the script in his pocket. As much as I admire Ponting for his batting it appears as though he may well go down as Australia's worst Captain competing in as Ashes series.

I think it is fair to say seeing Clarke hasn't been given an over in the last 2 matches that his back is not up to scratch

I think that honour would still belong to Graham Yallop.

A half hearted appeal for the first ball that missed the bat in 50 overs :)
