Well we have numerous "bit" cricketers! Why is Putland not in the side? I would like him to be given a fair go ahead of Edmondson

Puts is either still injured and hasnt bowled at all this season! only 17 overs in 1 game for Southerns. As for Edmondson, he is probably our quickest bowler and capable of taking wickets. Agreed he may go for a few runs but is a wicket taker......

The thing with SA is the talent is there, its the boys club that coaches and manages the SA teams that is the problem. Sorrell, Zessers, Quinn, Cox, Wyman, Cain, Muggleton etc etc have all been there to long and dont give a feck.

I assume Putland is injured or he got dropped after taking a few wickets against Qld a few weeks back in the shield game.

Bat him at 4, let him BUILD an innings, instead of always coming to the crease in the midst of a typical Redbacks collapse.

I have worked there and seen it myself. Shane runs a good grade cricket comp however the high performance, development side of SACA is SHIZENHOUSEN

Given your attention to facts in the previous post, I will just ignore that rant as frustration. We are seeing the results of years gone by, the current crop of people will have results in years still to come.

But seriously.. Ferguson averages only 35 in First Class Cricket, Whereas North averages almost 43 and over a long period of time.

yeah and Steve waugh averaged 45 in FC i think and Boof Lehmann 56. that means nothing. players get better the higher they go
