I feel for Lobey and Woodside. Both are good clubs with alot of good people and if i was a memeber of either clubs i wouldnt want to play in the TVCA either. Unfortunately i think the TVCA may go the way of the back shoot.
The A&EH would be best choice for these clubs as the HCA might be a little to tough for for the 2 Clubs, maybe if lobey put there best 11 in to 1 team they might make it in the HCA but i dont thin woodside would cut the mustard.

From all the talk around I thought young Matt Jensch was supposed to be quick... after facing him on Saturday in the 20/20 final he wasn't anything special at all. What's this talk about him being the best cricketer in the competition? I think he should stick to getting minimal game time out at the cows personally!

The A&EH run a 20/20 comp. Earlier in november one saturday was devoted to a round robin type week of 20/20's with three teams playing of in each group with the finals than played between the winner of each group on saturday. Theres no dought hes a good sportsman including a handy cricketer.

fair to say no one would be bowling their sharpest on one of their first hit outs in 12 months..... as much as it pains me to say he is pretty sharp when he gets going and can move the ball. i'd just say you were lucky "jimmy recard" facing him while he's rusty. will also go out an a limb and say that most blokes would be pretty happy being listed by an afl club regardless of game time.... which obviously would be an added bonus "jimmy".

Jaensch isn't that quick but sharp enough, the way he swings the ball is his main asset, and wow what a great call Jimmy about the limited game time
, playing limited game time in afl is terribly embarrassing!

He has a very "different" action with that leap in his delivery stride, That may contribute to his swing and also the good bounce he gets. Was interesting to see the young J Trapodi has adopted the same bowling style.

Mylor won on the 2nd to last ball of the day. They needed 5 to win of the last two balls, 14yr old Sean Munn smacked a six to bring up the 157 total with one ball to spare. Both captains signed the scorebook agreeing Mylor won however aldgate gained an extra 6 runs to the total when they submitted the score to my cricket which is odd!

Looks like the bowling and batting totals didn't add up.
Good game to watch, had everything.

Definitely was a good game not the most enjoyable to play in though. Aldgate had an 11 run difference between the two scorebooks so BOTH captains agreed at the change of innings to halve the difference which left aldgate with a total of 157 Mylor won hitting 160 but aldgate entered there score as 163 After the game on mycricket little bit cheeky!

I heard about this, quiet funny really! Even though Nairne do have a strong bowling attack, you would hope an A grade side wouldnt be bowled out for 29! Do you know how many balls it took?

So what do they have now A's and C's?

See Bridgy pulled their C grade out a couple of weeks ago so they have only an A and D's the same as meadows.

Am i the only one concerned by this and the Torrens Valley league seeming like it will be a bit of a shambles with lobey and woodside wanting to leave, and the lack of younger players that we aren't attracting to our game?

Fair point, & you wouldn't be the only concerned person.
I don't know if there's an overall problem or a club-by-club range of issues. At Aldgate we're now blooding some young blokes but the area's hardly inundated with juniors. I honestly don't know the answer. Could it possibly be that there's no club that the hills is a feeder for, ala football? If young lads want to excel/play turf, leave the hills and play turf.
