How long til he gets a spell in the 2's?

It is called the calm before the storm. They say watch out for the injured batsmen but in regards to Kurtz i would say watch out for the struggling batsmen, he is about to unleash  .
.
I would say kurtz is just 'in a rut' (great taboo clue) great players, great men get themselves out of it. Look at mike hussey everyone was calling for his head and aren't we glad he was kept in. If i was a tanunda bowler id be very worried. But while im on here was a fantastic effort by the boys 120 on that out field was a good score and worth 160 anywhere else so great to see. I wonder if norm had a look at the angaston figures and saw matt doeckes very impressive figures. And was good to see the captain limp out there on one leg and bring the boys home. Steve waugh like in toughness.

Old man Matthew Doecke had another bowled on the weekend, wasn't comprehensive like Norms that time, but equally impressive. Who knew he could actually bowl, and saved the day with the bat too.
If I am reading previous posts correctly and you had a baby recently Normy, then a huge congrats mate, hope all is going well.
I heard Kurtzy saying he wished he had late-nights with a crying baby to blame his form on,
Luckily for him he can tuck that 1 away and use it in 2011/12.

Nuri won the toss and batted and were sitting pretty at 2/58 at drinks.
Enter the spin twins of Doecke and Koch taking 5/40 between them and nuri all out 115 after 39 overs.
Disaster for Ango in the chase loosing Kurtz for 1 but then Doecke and Rathjen steadied the ship to be 1/50 at drinks.
Angaston then found themselves 4/70 after 28 with doecke watching the collapse. Then the 2 wise heads of Doecke and Koch knuckled down with Koch hitting a couple of mammoth 6's getting to within about 15 of the target when doecke was dismissed for 50 odd. Another procession of wickets was viewed by Koch this time and he then run himself out with 5 needed and Ango 8 down. Then Captain Courageous inspired by a chat with Prior guided the lads home with an over to spare.
I must say Nuri were definitely out captained today as they normally are but this time they didnt have the individual performances to cover it up.

Looking forward would be nice for sandy to knock them over again next week and open 2nd spot right up

Thanks Days, have you taken over my job of writing up the match review like you have with norms tipping comp :D ;)

WAC has joined the tipping?
Will he be agreeing with his other tips or just hedging his bets?

Norm, congrats mate on the new arrival, hopefully for the baby's sake that it has taken after mum not dad ;)

My tips this week:

Sandy over Nuri in a thriller with Norms adrenalin running high he will smoke another 100 plus off the Nuri attack as per last year
Angaston hopefully will be able to get over the magpies this week which would make second spot extremely tight between 3 teams
Greenock have the ability to surprise a few teams this year and will be to strong for the yipp yahs
GV v GC is an interesting one. Can I hedge my tip, If the rumour is correct that both Jimmy Vands and Hosko are playing then I will back the rodeo riders but if they both do not play then I think the pussies will get home comfortably (let me know if I can Norm/Days whoever is running the show these days)

South are super keen to get back up into the top grade and won't let this game slip against Truro
Freeling are travelling alright at the moment and think at home will have enough to beat Lyndoch
The Old Foes at it again, Kapunda will be my tip but don't be surprised if there is an upset

A little bit quiet this week WEARECOMING after the tigers mauled LP thought you would be on here talking the win up and Kingy or didn't you personally perform well ;)

Just keeping a lid on it mate we are 2/4 so no need to get carried away with a win against the 2nd side from the ressies last year, it was a thumping though wasnt it Stocky smashing them everywhere and Kingy making a very good looking 9, he cant be The Don everyweek. I had an average game mate nothing special just did my bit. Looking forward to see how the boys go against GV this week, we should win comfortably.

Ordinary? Hmmmm interesting one tight win over them and all of a sudden they're ordinary. Still 12 points clear on top buddy, cant be too ordinary. Nuri will be a good test this week but i think the boys that are coming into form will prove too much for Nuri, as for you guys GO THE VALLEYS

Jumped on that lightly baited hook there donkey lover.
WAC, is there anyone else at Gawler besides Kingy?
Speaking to him the other day he gave me the impression he was the only one worth talking about.
Slap in the face for you and your team-mates I would've thought.

Your only top because you got a cheap outright against GV when everyone else was washed out and reduced to one day games.
Yes IMO you were ordinary when we played you, Kingy was saying he has played alot better innings than that against much better opposition than he faced that day. Did you have any guys out that day?

So your saying you think im Kingy, you couldnt be further from the truth, i am just the No2 ticket holder in his fan club. Kingy would marry himself if it was possible ;)

Will only be 3 guys missing this week, if the cocks can beat them outright surely we can smash them with 3 players missing
