DUTCHY

cairns were never really in the game. they were only a couple down at the 1/4 time break and me and BAYMAN both thought they were luck to be in that situation.

Half time down by even more, despite having more possession then they did in the first 1/4.

start of the third looked promising they had all the possession early stages but couldnt do anything with it, no scoreboard pressure. then they tried to reduce the deficit from outside shooting 3's which generally missed.

the margin was too big at the last break for mine, but they did get it back to 6 inside the last minute and a bit and i thought they may be a chance to get OT happening.

as BOTI NAGY, wrote in the paper CAIRNS just really didnt look interested.

Bayman pointed out to me before the game that he wanted to know if CAIRNS could improve on there standing of 6th place, i didnt know and as it turned out they couldnt!!!!!!!

BAYMAN backed the under 205.5 and never looked in danger

I didnt lay off, that really didnt occur to me until sitting in the stands before the game, i was happy with my selection.

ive only just recovered.

Yeah I have to include "motivation" into my studying of games...its a huge thing in basketball, Sixers had motivation as it was their last game, Cairns had no motivation (although you would think going into the finals ona winning note would be motivation enough!!!)

not knowing who CAIRNS are up against next week, I would be thinking about backing the opposition. I know it was probably a dead rubber for them and they didnt want to get injuries, but they just didnt look like a team.

Hey Dutchy I am really looking forward to the NBL playoffs. Sounds like South want an open running game against Taipans who might try and make it more of a physical slog. Just looking for a bet for interests sake. Went to school with Jacob Holmes so hope Dragons win but backing them may be more with the heart than the head.

A few questions for you......

1.How do you think tonights game (Taipans v Dragons) will pan out? Was looking at sportsbet and the option of highest scorer. No Catalini. Shortest was Ingles at 2.5 then Mee 3.25(would not back him for highest pts), Owens 4.40 and Holmes 5.0. Why is 'Cat' not listed?

2.Do you think Dragons can upset the Taipans up there?

3.Total score above or below 204.5?

PN...

Yes very weird the Cat isnt on the board...I dare say he would have been too short in that market...he isnt in the players at Centrebet either and they have a different spread of players!!!...Maybe he is out? but that would mean the odds would have changed towards South winning...so dunno

I think the Dragons can win, Cairns havent been in world beating form lately and the Dragons have some great offensive weapons..

Total score is too hard on this game, your right Cairns will try to slow it down while South will try up tempo basketball

Im not having a bet on this game, its just too hard and could go either way...if forced to I would have a bet on SOuth +6.0 points...but Im going to sit on the profit from last night and probably have a go at the Sydney/Crocs game tomorrow night....good luck if you have a bet (I play cricket with Jacob's cousin)
