The Place: Rose and Crown Christmas show fundraiser.
The event: Golf Putting

The game lasting for only 20 min and the cost $1 per shot and the prize being a bottle of scotch for who ever could get their little plastic golf ball closest to the bottle.
Russell Figallo hit the perfect shot, nailing the ball nicely against the bottle before being upstaged and having his ball smashed out the way shortly after.
Robbie Dissinger pulling off what we all thought was the shot of the decade, with the time (20 min) all gone, there
were only a select few that had golf balls left and no one being able to buy anymore shots it was going to come down
to the wire, Brookes took his shots followed by Feltus, there was only the one man left to attempt the impossible, one Mr R Figallo. With the challenge seeming all but impossible seeing Robbie's shot left only a gap of about a 20 cent piece between his golf ball and the bottle the prize and glory seemed all but his.
But alas R. Figallo pulls the putter back and stricks the plastic golf ball with passion, power and sheer determintation...

Our rugby league club has insurance but with cricket i think clubs can offer policies to players for them to seek themselves but i dont actually think as a whole the assoc gets the insurance. The cost for the insurance component would probably put a lot of clubs/players off.

Depends if your club is registered thru mycricket and has paid up. Check their insurance status via your committee and make a claim if your covered. More info here mate: >>> http://www.jltsport.com.au/CricketAustralia/index.aspx
With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!

Gee, thats massively harsh. I dont understand how you can call him selfish cause he was scratching around. he was fighting through a tough patch, we had just lost 4 fa 20. I dont know what else you would expect him to do. Any club would be happy having Mcnair play for them. He is a quality cricketer, just hasnt found the runs this year.

good bet that I thought 8)
all I need is to get into the skippers ear and get them to open the bowling with Furnell ;)

What has he done to get a call up to the A grade when you already have a spinner.
Why is the coach playing in the B grade?

Me thinks one should be concerned with their own club!!! Best thing to happen to Brahma for a long time. All sides cemented in the top 4 and getting 55 on the park without fail each week. Doesn't matter where the coach plays

We won't be going anywhere next year except back to our new home ground at Greenwith
(to be renamed Brahma Lodge North) if it doesn't stop raining. They can't get the clay out unless its dry.

Saw the legendary Merlin on the weekend, and I have to tell you, he made my blood boil.

To have someone in this comp (and grade) that in no better words, is a complete waste of space is frustrating.

Lets do something about it.

What is the point in coming out every week and playing in the top grade of PDCA to have a guy that cant see less than 30cm from his face without taking his sunglasses off.

On the weekend we were VERY lucky not to have about 3 or 4 LBW's against us, and we had a run out (my fault :p) given not out when fanta was about 1 meter out... and i was down the other end and saw it clearly, Merlin was less than a meter from it.

What can we do? Ill get every persons signature that plays over the rest of the season and put it forward to the PDCA committee, I don't care!
The secret impresses no one. The trick you use it for is everything.
