I think this bloke is the best spinning prospect I've seen for a fair while.

I completely agree R&B. He flights the ball, has drift and genuine turn off the pitch. Whilst he may not be the man to win T20 games, I really think he is a great hope to go further with his domestic cricket.

The delivery to get rid of Maddison (vs NSW) and the first ball he bolwed to North last night were crackers.

Blizzard opening with Harris, Klinger, Ferg, Pollard, Christian to follow.. suddenly the batting lineup doesnt look to bad IMO..

Blizzard for Cooper seems the obvious change for the middle order. Wake up selectors Cooper isnt striking the ball well and is a liability in the field!

Would not be messing with our openers and Blizzard struggles againt the new ball IMO.

thats not saying much lol!

dont think he is suited to T20, might be a great spin option, but is it worth introducing him through this form?

Good to see the redbacks display a bit of ____ about them out on the field yesterday too.

From what I've seen Cooper has the safest pair of hands in the team. Seen him take several difficult catches and he makes them look quite easy... :?

I seriously hope:

A/ Pollard is unavailable for the final through West Indies commitments

He isn't committed to the Windies as he refuses to sign a contract.
I'm not sure what the answer is though, maybe IPL ?

Would probably be Pollard's commitments with Trinidad & Tobago as their Caribbean T20 tournament now runs at the same time as ours. Obviously some sort of deal was done because just a few months ago Pollard was supposedly only going to be available for 1-2 games with the Redbacks in the Big Bash but now seems he will be here for the whole thing bar the final if we make it.

OT OH, OH DEAR! I know its a team game but SA,s KP IS MVP like few others before him. Knowing he is in the batting order seems to take away the panic factor so often associated with SA for so long in so many different forms of the game. He is also probably the most entertaining fielder to watch in world cricket ATM and his bowling is deceptive and clever. He will be sorely missed in the finals.

Meh, the main game is making the final. Sure it would be nice to win it and all but as long as we qualify for the final again then we go to the Champions League again later this year. I think the winner of the Big Bash gets about $150K in prize money last year by making it to the semi-finals of the Champions League the Redbacks got more than $1 million and that's not even taking into account sponsors/advertising.

I can't believe I am reading this, you blokes have got to get out more and watch some real cricket instead of sitting in front of the box. He can't get a wicket in Grade cricket, one thing he has going for him is that he comes from the ACT, so not a local, first box - tick. He reminds me of Krezja, flights the ball, but that is the only trick he has, in anything other than the teeball format, they sit on him, then when the bad ball is bowled, away she goes.
