Always good to see the best horse win any race
Is this right, the last time a SA horse won the race was in 1989 ?
That would have been Whirley Dream ?

Maybe we should have this race at Melton in future, that way the Victorians can save petrol money ....

I don't see what the deal is with Vic's coming over if you get to see the good horses race around.
Would you rather SA harness fans didn't get to see multiple grand circuit winners going around and end up with basically a race full of glorified claimers just to let the locals have a chance?

I've never heard or seen the Vic's complain when Blacks a Fake, Mr Feelgood or Imthemightyquinn etc win the big races here, it's just good to see them race and to have the leading drivers / trainers in the country here, people get excited by it.

Ohoka Nevada - I got $2.30 a place, would have been nice to see Kerryn keep the front, but still a profit is always nice

mals problem is he doesn't know the form very well outside of port pirie & gdp & this causes him either not to bet or bet by guessing a bit more, i'm with you scd lets watch the good ones race & it isn't a crime not to have a bet in a race, good horses mean people bet with more confidence rather than malpets like 'on the rocks' or whatever it was called.......i have bad news for mal because the next 2 friday nights will be nights off punting for mal ;)

i've heard a very sad rumour today & this is the second time i've heard it, i have said this is a rumour & that is dixie chic dreamer has run her last race & has succumbed to a bad leg injury..................does anyone know how true this is ?

have you signed the petition ?

there was a petition going around today to change or abort the 'stand start' style of races & to either have them as walk up (already on the track) starts or have them come onto the track turn walk a few strides then go as some horses can't turn sharply enough as it is when wearing lugging poles......littlebayman & myself signed it

It was mentioned on a sports show tonight that they intend racing at Gold Coast this Saturday night instead of Albion Park.

not quite right, for the first leg the no9 is the obvious one & will be about 6/10, the 5/2fixed was better last week ;) but 2,3,4,8 do have some claims.........as for the 2nd leg you will only need no2 in the last leg ($1.40 fixed on tabsportsbet earlier today is a gift, not sure if it is still there), it'll roll to the lead (stablemate drawn the pole) & just win, it is a genuine 1/15 pop in my book

VICTOR HARBOR
This is poor
Last meeting on Boxing Day we had a non VH meeting up against Morphetville races
Today we have a TAB VH meeting against Strathalbyn Races
How does this happen, a trots + race meeting on the same day so close to each other ?

Last week we had the SA Cup at GDP
An excellent 4 page form guide spread
Today we have VH, and we get a piece of birdshite for a form guide in todays Sunday MAiL
Its on page 1 of the racing section, the form is the fields and times and no formguide, comments, selections, or markets
VH will be shown on SKY2 as well, but we had to expect that
