Spoke to someone who is in the know about all things PDCA, and he was telling me that we must as players go to the AGM and make a suggestion that the PDCA board takes over the umpiring. People then have to second and vote on this. If people are serious about the rubbish that is given to us on a weekly basis, then we need to make ourselves heard. This will solve the problem of Umpires reading their own report cards etc and have nothing done about it. Please pass this information on so we get decent umpires and won't have to worry about getting Donny Don't sledge or anything like that anymore.

You've got to get people to show up to the AGM though . My experience with sports etc, most people are more than happy to whinge and complain and point out flaws, but very very few are actually willing to either come up with a suggestion to fix it or put their hand up and turn up to something like an AGM.

Is there anything you cant do? Your the man(well a man who is good at girl sports)...Sure some umpiring is a disgrace and should be looked at but at the end of the day we are playing hard wicket with umpires...because a bloke puts you in the book you have a cry, maybe he heard about your reputation and had the last laugh? Why dont you save pdca and recruit some fresh umpires?just make sure you tell them if they commit for the season they have to go through with it...

PDCA are weak. Obviously more to the story than the hear-say going around, however how a bloke who gets king hit and kicked gets 10 weeks is questionable at best, while the instigator gets 6 weeks. Very interesting yet disappointing. Makes you wonder....standard of umpiring is average, and the league comp does nothing, now they are promoting violence on the cricket pitch. Just makes you shake your head.

I didn't get put in the book. But to be honest, do you think its good practice for an umpire to go to an opponents ground after a game and complain about players? Seriously... get a life Don.

All i am doing is passing information on to the people who were complaining about umpires no less than a couple of weeks ago!

obviously I am a tad closer to the situation than most
but no matter what nobody deserves that on a cricket pitch
all i can say to the hero who threw the punch and his mates who sank the boot in, is that they are extremely lucky no serious injury happened
