I have been to the tribunal to represent players a few times and have found the process reasonable, fair and generally the right outcome comes out of it.
All parties are given a fair opportunity to state their case and more recently the there has been no pre-determined verdict given.
Firstly, if a player has been reported he is given an option to take a penalty that the PDCA has given if they wish to avoid attending the tribunal. If you feel that you have been "hard done by", you can contest this verdict through the tribunal.
When attending the tribunal you should prepare yourself with copies of statements from at least 3 different witnesses who your club delegate should interview seperately, you should then determine if you think the player was "in the wrong" or not, you should then give an accurate summary of the version of events whether it will work in the player's favour or not.
Generally the truth is weeded out in a PDCA tribunal, the last thing they want to do is hand out suspensions.
We have heard bits and pieces from one side of the story, I'm not questioning EM's integrity or accuracy on the events but he wasn't there and surely there was sufficient support from both clubs to get to the bottom of it.
Yes, it seems bizarre that the "victim" got more games than the "attacker", but how did they prepare themselves for the tribunal and how did the stories match up?

Too right mate, I just can't fathom this happening in a cricket game. I can't work out how the game continued, it would be good to get a Playford version of events, I tried, they declined to comment.

I was being sarcastic...

If that amount of blokes are kicking the crap out of me, I too would swing the bat to try and save myself.....and expect that using my bat for that purpose will not be held against me at a friggin PDCA tribunal.
