When the 2:30pm match started, PDCA batted first and posted a solid 152 from their 20 overs, with Adam Ozolins & Pete carman starring with the bat, with Oz' notching up 50-odd.

When it came our turn to bat, we got off to a horror start - 1/0 in the first over.

Hoddo, I think it was at this point where your innings turned to shyte..

Pistol Pete Atkins and Jon 'The Hulk' Smith set about putting together a partnership of 60-70, with Pete making 40-odd and Smithy probably around 25-30.

Eventually the Pink Boys took a wicket, courtesy of a skied ball being wedged in the upper chest cavity of one Bryce 'brod' Norton, who decided that his pristinely manicured hands were too precious to risk having harm being inflicted upon them..

Unfortunately we didn't get to see the best of Lee Mills on Sunday (coz Smasha ran him out.. ), but he is an exceptional cricketer.

Same goes for Richo Marshall - sacrificing his wicket in the pursuit for quick runs towards the death.

In the end, Skipper Dutchy had to get the last ball to, or over, the fence to earn a great win, but it was not to be.

Congrats again to the PDCA lads on the win! The match lived up to it's billing as the day's showcase event and both sides (& Associations) put on a great spectacle for the crowd who'd gathered to watch and participate in the day. Played in great spirits and a good standard of cricket. I'm sure the players and everyone that was there will remember the day, and indeed this match. Thanks guys for putting your hands up to play. Well done.
