port pirie 16/2/2007

port pirie, very hard tonight tread warily plus the heat could affect mares/fillies

r1 top two 2,6 with some hope to 1,9,10
r2 chances 1,2,3,5,6
r3 another open race 1,2,3,6,7,8,11 all have chances i'll be on 6 or 11 e/w or both depending on prices
r4 chances 1,5,7,8,9,10 in another open race the pole has trialled well
r5 1 on top e/w from 4,7,9
r6 6 has trialled brilliantly twice (my concern is the draw & whether they'll want to knock the horse around in the heat) 1,4 next best with 9 a rough place hope
r7 3,6 on top with next best 7,8

suggested bet(s)
overall tough but
r4 no 1 e/w
r5 no 1 e/w
r6 no 6 e/w (if you can get e/w)

betfair lay
r3 no 10 ( i know mal likes this horse but i think it drinks milk !! :drinkers: :drinkers: ) ie cat

good luck on the punt i'd suggest bet lightly & look for value as this is a very tricky meeting
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

incidently this is the first meeting without 'the postman' or his family driving or training horses up there & i notice that paul fitzgerald has taken over most of them

LATE MAL
-----------

HA HA HA
R3-10 THE PUPPETMASTER
SCRATCHED
HA HA HA
What else could we expect running a horse 3 times a week
BAYMAN said drinks milk

R2-3 PREMIER HOLMES [E/W]
Outstanding 4th GDP last saturday
Led early, taken on, handed up, leader tired on top of PH, and it ran on for 4TH
MALs pet is a terrific EW bet tonight
I did not declare it last 2 starts when beaten
Lets all jump on EW

R5-1 MISS FINGERS [E/W]
The BAYMAN EW special as well
I think EVENING MIST will lead it but you never know which EM rolls up
MISS FINGERS will get a delighful trial on EM back and looks a monty EW

R6-4 GAVRO BOY [PLACE]
Ultra consistent pacer and this race suits.
MIght be skinny place odds but if we could get $1-60 or greater worth a ticket

Good luck
MALS winning streak is still rolling on, lets hope it continues.

R1 - 1,2,6 on top from 3,5,7,8 for a place hope
R2 - 1,2,3,5,6,10 the hopes in a tough race
R3 - 3,6,7 on top from 1,2,9,11
R4 - 1 and 5 on top from 7,8,9,10
R5 - 1 and 4 on top from 3,6,7,9 as place hopes
R6 - see bayman's post - 6 should win - only danger for me is 1
R7 - 5 and 8 on top from 3,6,7

Suggested Bets
R4 - 1 e/w
R5 - 1 e/w
R6 - 6 place

Bayman is on the money tonight - looks like a tough night, so go the each way or place betting and you shouldn't lose

to build a bank up for tonight try these 3 on for size!!!!!!!!!!

Werribee 6-3 Imposing Way
Pakenham 7-8 Arrowsweep
Muswellbrook 2-1 Sutton Chief

yesterday all 3 ran a place and 2 won, $2 and $4.60!!!!!!!

my stake on these is like a 1 win x 4 place plan.

Simple for me - the trial results said it went good and I got a tip for it when a few Adelaide boys were over here last week for Hunter Cup - Barrier 6 put me off..

Think it's a tough start to the night and it gets easier as the night goes on - just stick to the 3 above and a profit should be made.
