Well, what do you know...

Big Phil's lining up for a hamburger and Booney happened to be walking past at the same time and introduced himself...

Pleasure to meet you fella, hope you enjoyed the game and go back out there tomorrow night...

What a great display from the Bite in game one tonight, some brilliant batting (how big was Quincy Latimore's homer - SAFooty's very own PhilH was at the game and down the end of left field when Latimore hit this and he said it went a good 25-30 over the home run fence - HUGE  )

Some great plays out in the field as well with some impressive double plays and great pitching on the mound from Mark Brackman and Reed Brown.

Other highlights were Jeremy Creswell safe on base 6 consecutive times including being hit by pitch twice and putting a home run over the fence, the back to back home runs (Stephan Welsch hit one of them from memeory) and the great home crowd support for the Bite.

Get along again tomorrow night and support the Boys to hopefully a Playoff sweep of the Aces and advancement to a Preliminary Final.

P.S - For those playing at home, Sydney were defeated (in Sydney) by Perth in game 1 of their series with a 4-2 win to the Heat. The winner of this series will host the final in a fortnight, the loser will face the winner (should be Adelaide ;) ) of the Bite v Melbourne series.

GO BITE...

Thye were very vocal Jim, as loud as I'v heard them all year and I've been to at least 3/4 of the games there this year...

I suppose they did have plenty to cheer about with 14 runs scored over the plate so they were a happy crowd if anything :D

As a guesstimate, I'd suggest there would have been between 2,000 and 2,500 there perhaps?

I'd agree Phil, perhaps 2000.

And likewise, nice to catch up with you, although, the way you're moving that wouldn't be too hard to do. ;)

All the best in the recovery mate, keep it moving!

A little surprised it was only a tick over 1500, I thought it seemed a little more than that?

Anyway, no doubt they will get a lot more than that there tonight, get along and cheer on the boys.
