I think there's some mis-communication here, it's all speculation.

Agree the subject has probably run its course now until greater details are released.

Saw some bloke hit the worst defensive push on the weekend, got caught and bowled for a DUCK, embarrassed the whole of PDCA, thought of catchit... no wait that WAS you. Well played mate.

And it's all running rampant with people spouting about how evil the association is and they don't even know the penalties!

It's all well and good to get on here saying what a mate of yours said, but the association can only go by what they got told from the witnesses at the tribunal on the night, and any written reports from witnesses. Unless you know what was said in that meeting I dare say you (like me) aren't really in a position to make much of an informed judgement.

I suggest anyone who is particularly concerned about a decision and how it was arrived at actually speaks to someone from the association, writes a letter to them, or better yet make an appearance at a delegates meeting. But just bear in mind none of the people who joined the association committee do it for their own benefit. There is no money involved, and you can't exactly serve your own needs very easily. These people give up their time (until 2am that night I hear with most working the next day) to try to make decisions that benefit the whole competition. So I think until you know the whole story, a little bit of "benefit of the doubt" should go their way.

agree with most of what you said but like i said i know as fact there is a miscommunication in what certain players believe they have been suspended for.

My main argument is the lack of common sense used, they dismiss a dated photo of injuries sustained yet will listen to witnesses and players from BOTH clubs who possibly were drinking alcohol most of the day.

Also using a bloke on the appeal board who happened to be placed with one of the sides the week before until 2am in the morning. Not saying he would be predijous but surely he would have pre concieved ideas.

Was the photo relevant to what he was appealing and the reasons for the suspension? Not being part of the process I would have no idea whether submitting the photograph is relevant, useful or not.

Photo's aren't worth a pinch of sh!t I've found, we had a club (close to you GrahamI) that refused to take the field last season because the pitch was apparently under water, we took photo's, sent them in and got nowhere.

perhaps they would acept video footage

but once again natural justice - where is it

its a joke and they need to set it up properly or it could cost them big bucks if someone ever takes it to court

Its clear to everyone its not fair for playford to drop their grade 3 players to grade 8 but the PDCA dont seem to care going by all these reports of it happening before.

IMO its not all about "winnings premierships". Would much rather play for a CLUB than an individual TEAM, if we get success then good but if not then who cares, still have a hit and a giggle with some mates. I would happily play for a club like Wasleys any day of the week given the way they conduct themselves and go about things than i weak as p!ss club like playford who cant keep half their A grade in check and are happy to go win a flag in a MUCH LOWER grade.

Rather finish last in grade 4 than win a cheap flag in grade 8!

Question:- since you get 2 bonus points for winning in 20 overs and 1 bonus point for winning in 30 overs, do you get 3 bonus points for winning in 10 overs?!!?
