Yeah right! Torres' agent put in a transfer request with his knowledge or agreement. Very believable

i think if anelka wanted to go anywhere it would be man utd knowing him. dont think anelka would move to liverpool the way they are at the moment. And did anekla have a choice in this deal or was it like your going to liverpool if we get torres? surely he would have a say in it not just your moving on??

Anelka's been decent for Chelsea, but I can't see him being any more than a run of the mill "OK" player for most other teams .. He's thrived at the Bridge on having such superstar teammates imho and didnt do a great deal at Anfield in his earlier stay and wouldn't expect much different were he to return.

Krapchesky is outta here.

Nottingham Forest's quest for a full-back is over. They have signed Paul Konchesky on loan from Liverpool.

Get that on facebook pal.

The Press Association is reporting that Newcastle have rejected a £30m bid from Liverpool for Andy Carroll.

WTF..........

Please let this be a false report.
Not that the bid was rejected, but the fact we bid for him.
Can get MUCH MUCH better than him for that price.
Unless it's a desperate bid cause Torres is definitely leaving.

I'd take Carroll, but for 30 million quid no way .. Thats more than either Torres or Suarez have cost, and I know that one of those is definitely better then AC.

LONDON (AFP) - Liverpool are determined to hold on to want-away striker Fernando Torres according to manager Kenny Dalglish.

Newspaper reports over the weekend said that the Reds were willing to accept what would be a British record transfer fee of a 50 million pounds for the Spaniard, but Dalglish insisted that there had been no change in the Anfield boardroom's position.

Liverpool rejected a transfer request from Torres on Friday night, reminding the player of his commitment to a long-term contract, having turned down a 35 million pounds bid from Chelsea the previous day.

And despite a 22.9 million pounds deal for Ajax forward Luis Suarez being agreed on Friday, with the Uruguay international expected to complete the paperwork formalities on the transfer later Monday, Dalglish insisted that did not mean Torres was on his way out.

"We've not brought anyone in as a replacement for anyone else," said the Scot.

The club have not given up hope of persuading Torres to stay, although Dalglish reiterated his belief that his concern was players who were committed to the club.

"Movement is part and parcel of football but the most important people at Liverpool Football Club are the ones who want to be here," he added.

Torres, who trained yesterday after the squad were given a couple of days off, was at the club's Melwood training ground on Monday morning.

Liverpool have offered £35m fro Carroll
Chelsea have upped their bid to £50m for Torres and the only "T" to cross is his personal terms.
Newcastle and Liverpool have reached an agreement at £35m and Liverpool are discussing personal terms with the player now.

Liverpool have upped their bid to £6.5m for Adams but Blackpool currently refusing to answer their phones :D

How do you think Mickey feels, he needs a whole new signature  :( :(

Myself and my nearly 2 year old son both have Torres emblazoned Liverpool tops that will be headed for the Goodwill bin now.
