About 4 minutes outside just now for a smoke, and I came back in dripping with sweat.

It is about 36 here in Werribee. With the temp that hot MP you should quit smoking.

It's alright with the A/C in my closed off lounge room, only 18 degrees in here, but when I go out... DAMN!

Apparently we've had a coolish summer.

Lucky Norwood don't play games in Oodnadatta otherwise JAS might be in for a bit of a shock.

You'll love our winter.
We complain if it gets anything close to 10 degrees.
Have you come close to experiencing a 24 degree minimum before ?

Psyber wrote:It finally got to 28C inside my house after two hot days. So I turned the air conditioning on for a few hours.
The advantage of double brick construction and wide eaves was brought home to me when I dropped into a friend's brick-veneer place nearby, about 5.30pm.
It was still 36C inside, and the walls are supposed to be insulated.
It is true that double brick holds the heat longer once it heats up.But up in the hills you at least get a cool breeze in the evenings and can open the windows to help cool it off.
However, the log cabin I lived in for some years was by far the easiest house I've had to maintain a comfortable temperature in.
