dont worry big fella

I am sure during the finals that you will be contacted by someone from The Lodge in dark glasses to ensure you hit under 10 and dont take any wickets - look out for a brown paper bag with a big golden M on it ;)

 The way i am going atm you wont need to contact me..

Isnt it funny how that movie came to your mind...remember that part where the chick got undressed and his old fella fell out? The only thing that was missing was a netball dress...

I thought of that movie, cause it had the word CRYING in it, you know that thing that you keep doing cause you got beaten.

"im not using it as an excuse' yet your still talking about it a week after it happened. Seems like an excuse now doesn't it?

I guess there was the other movie that reminded me of you.. what was it again? Super Size Me or something?

They aren't comebacks, they are facts. You keep crying at the fact you couldn't hit a boundary, and my team mates did leave during the season and YOU were the one that was having a cry about it, you and that other 'mate' of yours Gunnerson... remember that? When you were Gunnerson and pretended you weren't, and you were having a CRY about everything with him too? Good times.

I dont remember gunnerson ever having a cry? I do remember a 20/20 game where a wide was called and you CRIED for 4 overs making yourself look like a baby...well thats what 30 people thought so that isnt just MO....

Once again if your bored after work tonight and wanna watch some cricket Eastern Park will be taking on Penfield/Centrals in a T20 at Argana Park on Turf tonight.

Not sure what facilites will be open down there but no doubt you will be able to get a beer somehow.

If you don't remember him having a cry, why don't you pop over to the closest mirror and ask?

I've had my fair share of cries in my life, that being one of them, the difference is i can admit when I have a lil cry or maybe do something I shouldn't when I lose my temper. You on the other hand? Filled with excuses and denials... the boundary was big. You weren't good enough... deal with it.

We were outplayed in every part of that game...so no denial there...
Well done on coming out and admitting you are a sook, thats the first step, now you have to work on it on saturdays so you dont let your team down with umpires not giving your team anything because of your sooky ways...its the way they roll..

Are u back playing whufc?

With the recent 4 sided 20/20 comp being organised by LM and now EP Pplaying Penfield, surely the association has to look at bringing back the 20/20 comp on a wednesday night! Or even a Super 8's comp
With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!

The Wednesday night comp fell apart for a reason. Largely because if clubs trained Tues and Thurs then blokes had cricket Tues, Wed, Thurs and Sat most weeks and many clubs have things happening Friday nights too. Add in extra time if they coach or help juniors and association games on Sundays and it's a lot of cricket. Obviously we aren't talking about everyone having that sort of involvement but a lot of the guys in a club's A grade would be affected. There's also the issue of people working and living further away unable to make a 4:30 start on a weekday.

If we start a T20 comp it should be done in a way to encourage as many top level players as possible to play. And the best way for that is a Sunday fixture IMHO, dodging association games and avoiding it becoming a weekly competition. The reason I say avoid making it weekly is simply to allow other things to happen on Sundays without forcing people to pick and choose. An 8 or 10 team comp, everyone plays each other once, games every fortnight then finals would be ideal IMHO.

The best way to do it would be like an FA Cup style IMHO

Teams in Grade 1 get a bye in the first round

Every club gets to play done on a random draw

Then the winners and the Grade 1 sides go into a draw and like the FA Cup the side pulled out first is the home team - you could even do it the second round onwards like a World Cup draw and have 8 pots with each Grade 1 team in it

I really believe it is better as a knockout comp and involve the whole association

Sunday...hahaha, no chance !

This is a big reason why so many people cease playing Grade cricket.

ATCA do it well as their T20 comp runs on Tueday nights, in a round Robin format with games played every 2-3 weeks. Its a training night, so this may just increase participation levels.

Tuesdays would be good.. that way clubs can use it as a training alternative.
Make it a Super 8's comp with 14 overs per side, all bowlers bowl 2 overs except wicketkeeper.
Start it at 5.30 wrap it up by 8.
With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!
