Drawing is considerd dropping points. (To me anyway) Unless Tottenham go out to aim for a draw

TWR, I thought the post said "still picking up points", you brought in the dropping points, so technically you are an idiot and JTC is perfectly correct.

Decision not until tomorrow UK time, good luck to them if they do, but not sure right decision for the stadium, but there you go. Lord Coe will obviously have a big influence on the decision makers, we were over the line on the original decision day. We might share the Emirates with you mob. You are touchy aren't you.

TWR, suggest you go back to the Humphrey B Bear site if that is as good as you can come up with.

Not sure a move out to East London was the best thing for Spurs. I think they are just looking for an increased capacity but going East might have been to the detriment of their core fans.

I can understand their frustration with the local council though.

Not sure West Ham can afford or fill a new stadium if they get relegated at the end of the year. They are a pretty well supported club to be fair but as with any other club, "loyal" fans do drop off when you are in the lower leagues.

They are obviously trying to spend money to improve and develop, otherwise their efforts to become one of the big boys will not last. Have heard they have about 20k people on their books waiting for season tickets. I thought the Spurs plans for the Stadium were actually better than West Ham, including the re development of Crystal Palace. But I think if WH bid is accepted that the Olympic Park will become a big burden for the city of London with Lord Coe's thoughts.

why cant they redevelop white hart lane?

I heard some rumours a few years back about spurs not being able to secure land for a full stadium near white hart lane and they were deciding to build the new stadium but could only build half until it was off season in the EPL then finish it in the off season as the new stadium only half fitted in the land they where allowed to build on which bordered the current stadium? Wouldnt that be better then moving somewhere else?

Bully, have been following their re development plans for White Hart Lane on their web site for some time. Magnificent plans (my view) to increase capacity from 36 to 56,000, using the existing site and never at any time reducing ground capacity. Part of those plans was to re develop the whole area, shopping malls, etc. etc. They have been thwarted by local borough. Then they turned to the Olympic Stadium. I actually thought they went that way to force a decision on the white Hart Lane development. If nothing happens on either front, unfortunately we cannot sustain our current impetus, which would be disappointing, the more teams competing in that top bracket the better.

JTC, just did some reading off the web site to update. Apparently they still need to acquire land at WHL and costing in the application stage has been enormous. Also, they have 35,000 fans on their paid waiting list, unbelievable to me. The move to Olympic, although now unlikely, is apparently 5 miles from WHL and not sure whether you know, but the public transport to WHL is terrible, whereas the new stadium would have better access than Wembley. Levy and the board are committed to development, he quotes that Emirates and Wembley were both public subsidises, where Spurs had no plans to involve public spending in their development.
Have heard the WHL area is pretty low standard area housing, as was Olympic area, but they knocked most of that down. Anyway, I am not affected, so I hope what happens is best for the future development of the club.

I think WHL is further than 5 miles away from the Olympic site which is right out west. The site was ripe for redevelopment and far worse than North London where WHL is situated.

I've always found getting to Tottenham relatively easy. Good tube service 5 mins from the ground, mainline rail service and half a dozen bus routes. Going to the Olympic stadium would be a bit like going to footy park.

I think the difference in housing is that whilst there is some low quality housing around WHL, it's all occupied. A lot of the housing and industrial buildings around the Olympic site were derelict.

Probably what it will end up like again with West Ham in charge, anyway good luck to them, but I can assure you that the match day experience at the new stadium, should West Ham keep their promises, will be pretty ordinary, whether they are in the EPL or CC. You just can't get atmosphere with a running track around a pitch and spectators so far from the action, bit like watching soccer at MCG with 90,000 victorians, lots of noise, but lacking something, apart from a lot of IQ.

Bully, mate of mine visited the UK over Christmas and went to Emirates, which being a goon, he loved, but he could not believe what they have done to Highbury. Exclusive appartments inside the ground, gated community of course, but outside the ground, the same old run down area of north London.

A month ago spurs fans were talking about winning the league now your settling for top 4.
Still think you will finish above Man Shitty and you will get through to next round of europe.

Yep, I reckon the league is beyond us this season, with our points deficit and inferior goal difference.
