Scott Gladstone the 1st batter for the Bite, has to get on base here but he didn't think so and is struck out for Adelaide's 1st out.

Ben Wigmore now in the box and is hit by pitch so we now have a runner on 1st base, just 1 out, Josh Cakebread at bat now...

Cakebread hits to centre field where he is caught out for Adelaide's 2nd out, Jeremy Creswell now in the box for the Bite...

Creswell goes down swining meaning Adelaide are side away without troubling the scorers for the 6th consecutive inning, damn...

Must go 3 up 3 down in Perth's batting inning, can't afford to give up any more runs from here...

Robbie Widlansky at bat for Perth and hits a massive foul ball over the top of the scoreboard that was almost a homer then next hit he is caugh out in right field.

One out with the next Heat batter being Evan McArthur who is struck out not swinging on what looked a wide pitch from Ruzic...

Ronnie Welty, the Heat slugger, is in the batters box for Perth with 2 outs and after hitting to right fielder Stefan Welch, he is thrown out at 1st base for side away...

Well done Bite, great defence, but now gotta get some offence happening, MUST do something with the bat this inning or I feel it is Championship to Perth.

Stefan Welch leading off for the Adelaide ETSA Bite but is caught out on a sky fly ball to shallow left field, bring Jamie McOwen to the plate.

McOwen, who actually won the Silver Batter award for best batter across the whole competition, needs to do something here and with a Perth error (dropped catch from left field), McOwen gets to 2nd base with just 1 out.

Quincy Latimore in the batters box now, he hasn't had a great series with the bat, but is more than capable of doing something big with the bat.

Latimore however chases another wide, outside pitch and is struck out for Adelaide's 2nd out, catcher Brandon Bantz now in the box.

Bantz is not happy with a strike out call from the home plate blue, the ball looked wide and low, but at the end of the day, it was called a strike and is side away.

Adelaide get the out for the 1st Perth batter, got to get the next 2 without any damage done then only 2 more batting opportunities for them to get something going.

Ryan Price comes in for the Heat as a pinch hitter, he is just caught short running to first base on an infield hit, Perth now 2 away...

Mitch Graham now at bat for the home side but he is strike out by Dushan Ruzic, for side away and the end of the 7th inning

ADELAIDE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING WITH THE BAT THIS INNING, THEY MUST SCORE SOME RUNS HERE...

Tom Brice the lead off batter for the Bite and he gets a safe it out to centre field, getting on base at 1st with none out...

Something has to eventuate from this, designated hitter Scott Gladstone now in the batters box for Adelaide...

He hits to the Perth 2nd baseman who gets the runner, Brice, out at 2nd base meaning Gladstone is safe at 1st base, 1 out for Adelaide.

At bat now is Bite 1st baseman Ben Wigmore but he hits it straight to the Heat shortstop who gets the double play happening and retires the Adelaide inning.

I just feel we had to do something in that inning, reckon we will need a miracle to win from here, Perth have the home crowd advantage as well.

"Chamions" BP? Couldn't bring yourself to say it hey?

Na, I'm kidding. Great reporting by yourself over the course of the three games. I appreciated the updates as I wasn't able to watch all three games on Fox in their entirity.

Well done to Perth, obviously I'm really disappointed the Bite couldn't capatalise on the great win on Friday, which means Perth deserved the title even more in my eyes.

Well done to the ABL in general. A really positive start to the competition and hopefully it can grow here as a sport.

Looks like the winner of this competition (Perth Heat) might find themselves with a little bit of overseas exposure...

Well done again to Perth, certainly the best team in this competition over the course of the year, but well done to Adelaide for making the playoff series as well...
