now we will just have to wait and see if the big man pulls up alright tomorrow and can replicate it. 40odd hours may not be enough time for him to recover ;)

Think the excitement of the injuries and the chances of him taking the new ball got to him!

Surely? Nah russel will always have the new ball and bowls well with it.....but if i even see him stretch once ,he will be recieving some outswingers from short cover

Im backing r&c to demolish PG this round, my reasoning...

No Jimmy, No Kent..

I think now finally is a chance for clowns at ridley to stand on their own two feet again, not rely on McCarthy in particular to take the wickets and play as a TEAM again and realise that it takes 11 blokes to win a game, not 1 or 2.

IMHO r&c far exceeded expectations last season with an average line up at best, because they played for each other and for the right reasons, this season they seem to have become complacent and reliant on McCarthy and Stamatovich and also Dan Jenner to get the job done. I see this round as a blessing in disguise for them. A chance to play for each other, to win the game as a team, to all contribute or face slipping further down the ladder..

who would be feeling the pinch more right now??? ...

Salisbury West - perennial front runners and champions, ooze class and talent but this year find themselves back in the pack, away from the lofty perks of top spot...

Rose & Crown - last years Cinderella story, written off pre-season last year only to defy all and make the GF and be denied the chance at a shot at glory due to weather, come back this season bigger, stronger, and haven't disappointed but after sitting on the shoulders of the rest for most the season have started to drift back to the rest..

Brahma Lodge - this year is their swan song in grade 1 PDCA, their last chance to break the SF hoodoo.. recruited hard, worked hard, have not tried to hide the fact that anything less than a flag will be a disappointment. Have probably been the most consistant team of the season, rightly deserve their place at the top. Surely want to leave for ATCA on a high, stamp their authority and leave an ever lasting impression on PDCA ala Sandy Creek...

Also heard in Grade 1 Angle Vale were 5 or 6 for 22 against Salisbury West with Justin Davies grabbing a few wickets.
