When we had Don two weeks ago one of our batsmen broke their bat so they asked for someone to run out 'HIS' other bat. Don told him he wasnt allowed to and had to face the rest of the over out with the bat the square leg was holding, there was 3 balls left in the over.

Dons reason- time restraints we were furious especially when we finished the days play at 5:25.

WTF!!!!

He umpired quite well I might add, there was one LBW that looked pretty adjacent when Damian was bowling, I think Damian having words to him earlier on cost him the wicket.

yeah in the one day play we had of him umpiring i think he missed definatly 2 maybe 3 decisions, two of them went our way so i cant complain to much.

also at the captains toss telling me infront of the other captain 'i heard what happened here the last time your lot played here and guess what..........it wont be happening again, not under my watch mate so i want you to go back and tell all your players to forget about the crap or this will be the last game they ever play.

they were pretty close to exact words with a couple of f bombs as well.

how hard is it to have someone at your club with a laptop putting the scores in anyway?

Seen it at a few clubs this year already.

Works well if someone has a laptop and brings it along. Different clubs might not have that capability.

If someone at your club can't access a pc by 6pm on Sunday to acknowledge the scores it's pretty poor form, it takes 1 minute to confirm.
