They could've declared a little earlier, hindsight is a wonderful thing though. BTW, please don't let reality get in the way of a juiced up synopsis please ;)

GRADE 2
Central United 133.83
Brahma Lodge 106.77
Craigmore 105.93
Riverside 92.31

Salisbury West 86.12
Salisbury North 71.85
ATCO 62.87
One Tree Hill 48.66

Salisbury Nth vs OTH
Too late for the Hawks to make a last minute bid for the finals, even an outright wont bridge the gap.
Westies vs Lodge
With Riverside playing the Units it holds the door ajar for Westies to sneak into the 4, the Lodge have been steady performers and they'll be very wary of Craigmore breathing down their necks, should be a great match.
Riverside vs Units
After a narrow loss to Craigmore the Units should brush themselves and get back on the horse. They've been the form side all season and a minor hiccup would've done them good. Riverside are known to perform better against the stronger opposition though and they'll nedd their big guns firing to pull off an upset.
Craigmore vs ATCO
ATCO have definetely played some good cricket of late and have been lasting out the overs, Craigmore will be keen to take as many points out of this match and go into the finals in great form.

Angle Vale 105.94

Virginia 93.42
One Tree Hill 83.58
Parafield Gardens 60.76
Smithfield 54.69

OTH vs R&C
Big game for Rosies, will be playing very attacking cricket in a vain attempt to snare top spot, runs are generally hard to come by at One Tree Hill so they'll require a bold declaration. The Billiegoats will have their horns up after a gallant win against Virginia, it's a tough ask to back it up again against a team preparing themselves for finals.
Lodge vs Virginia
The Lodge will want to hold on to the minor premiership with a win against the inconsistent Virginia, I should imagine they'll be very interested in the tribunal outcomes this week to see who'll be available.
Vale vs Smitty
The Vale turned things around on day two against Westies and could've captured an outright, they'll be going into the finals full of confidence as they've been the form side since the break. Smithfield on the other hand will be desperate for a win to avoid relegation and catch up to the Gardens.
Gardens vs Westies
The Gardens will be looking to put the demons of round 7 behind them, a pleasing effort against Rosies last week will give them some confidence, Westies on the other hand will be chasing the maximum points like Rosies to try and get the home final, there should be some interesting results this week and plenty of declarations are on the cards.

After hearing and seeing the umpire put at least 2 of these people in the book and confirming that two more were put in.. I rocked up to Rose & Crown on the weekend to learn that NO ONE was reported... all just warnings... ??? There will be a formal complaint from OTH don't you worry about that.

I have decided to do what i believe is the team of the year.. not the best players in the association. picked from Grade 1 (im sure there could be every grade but I only know of the people that I have played against)

Here it is!

Brooks (R&C)
Groover (BL)
Sibbick (BL)
Ozlins (SW)
Stamatovich (R&C)
Carmen.P (AV)
Leo (Vir)
Jenner (wk) (R&C)
Davies (SW)
McInnes (SW)
Carmen.J (AV)

12th man. Davies (SW)

Let us know your thoughts/your team.

I tried to go through and pick a squad aswell mate, I thought you were pretty close to the mark. I've added that Cree lunatic and Bascombe.

Groover
Bascombe
P.Carman
Stamatovich
Sibbick(c)
Ozolins
B.Jenner
Leo
Cree
McCarthy
J.Carman

12th: J.McInnes

Even a 2nd side would look pretty imposing with the likes of Scotty Mac, Brookes, Hanson, Pogas and A.Carman amongst others.

Better get onto it quick then.. Tony said he saw the player hit Fanta so did every one of our players as it was when the fielders were changing over. I think that in this case, the he said she said will work out in our favor.

If he gets away with this it would set a very very poor precedent for future games, It means that what he did is acceptable on the cricket field.

Physical contact like that should never occur on a cricket field. No matter what is said! People say some REALLY DUMB SHYTE in the heat of the moment, but to take it that step further and make it a physical confrontation is just appalling and embarrassing! The fact that he was not reported is a joke!

Any of the other 2 or 3 that were "going to be reported" that got away with warnings isnt such a big deal to me. They mouthed off and so did we, part of the game.. The way one or two of them behaved at times was just plain silly but nothing worth suspension IMO

GRADE 3
ATCO 124.08
Eastern Park 120.73
Central United 101.40
Craigmore 81.05

Smithfield 74.98
Parafield Gardens 63.23
Angle Vale 48.50

ATCO vs Gardens
The huts can have a real stranglehold on top spot with an outright win here, this season is really all in vain for them though as they can't progress to Grade 2 next season, at least some youth got some exposure to Grade 2 and have hopefully gained from the experience.
Smitty vs Units
Can Smitty pull a rabbit out of the hat and get up over the Units who have lost their way a bit in the latter part of the season. A win could still see Smitty jag that elusive 4th spot as Craigmore take on the Parkies. I think it will matter not anyway as the two top sides are head and shoulders above the rest as far as talent and experience.
Parkies vs Craigmore
The boys from up the hill will be fine tuning some glitches as they prepare for the finals, with plenty of batsmen in fine form they should be able to turn it on in front of a capacity crowd. Then again, I'd say a fair few Craigmore lads would've played a fair amount of cricket against the Parks spearheads so that will work in their favour.

GRADE 4
Salisbury West 152.53
Rose & Crown 145.22
North Pines 134.77
Virginia 99.23

Salisbury North 81.80
Para Teachers 73.29
Two Wells 72.13
Wasleys 41.21

Pines vs Rosies
Rosies would want to re-group this week and put pressure on the Pines, the team they are likely to face in the semi, the captain will deliver a scathing pre-match address.
Westies vs Teachers
A nothing match really, Westies will register a huge score with Forts to score 150+. Teachers and Two Wells will finish off the season missing out on finals action, a bit disappointing considering this grade has more A Grade sides in it than Grade 3.
Virginia vs Sal. Nth
Virginia will win and keep their season alive for an extra week.
Wasleys vs Two Wells
It would be nice to see Wasleys get over the line again, highly unlikely though.

1. Captained Rose & Crown to 12 straight including 2x outright.
2. 28 wickets @ 9.11 and really the only spinner in the grade.
3. 175 runs @ 29 batting 10 is handy.

Got any better suggestions?
