Chelsea were poor and lacked drive and ideas. Played very narrow and when they did have the ball they were very predictable and for the first hour United were very comfortable.

Rooney's goal was a good effort from outside the box, his 1st goal from outside the box in more than four months, which I find strange as he has terrific ability and accuracy.

Nani was the key last night but unfortunately he wasted the advantage by spending most of the game on the deck and wingeing.

Fergie can moan all he wants about refs decisions but after last week I'd have thought he might have kept his mouth shut. Luis was lucky to stay on after already being booked but I noticed 3 times a united player deliberately bring down a Chelsea player to stop an attack on the break and 3 times the ref only gave a free kick. Swings and roundabouts fellas.

As for the penalty, put it down to Smallings naivety as he left his foot out and who ever it was duly fell over it. It seen penalties for less, but I've also seen worse not get a penalty

By the way it was Giggs 603rd appearance for United last night, equally Bobby Charltons record, coincidentally which was also against Chelsea.

Phenomenal achievement by Giggs who has been a role model to the highest order

We were poor second half but its not the end of the world. Pressure back on arsenal now to capitalise on our loss. Everyone taking saturday for granted and arsenal will flog sunderland is all im hearing, i think this is a real danger game and wouldnt be suprised if the black cats nick points. If arsenal win it will pile the pressure back on us against liverpool. Arsenal getting a few niggly injuries and a piled up fixture list definately helps us

Techically, I think Arsenal are the better side but United have that winning attitude. When was the last time they lost by more than the odd goal.
Sure they do get a lot of the big decisions but all the big clubs do.

agreed . I have always been open on here when Arsenal have been given soft decisions and penalties that arent. I just dont like the fact of being told i winge about Arsenal when i dont. I said that Birmingham was the better side on the day on sunday and deserved to win. RVPs goal for us was a great goal but Brum was much better for the whole game. I can admit the fact when have off games and play poor. Just annoys me when people say the ref won the game for the other side and such and such is a cheating twat . Yes some players a cheating twats..i.e. drogba but i can be a man and admit to when we are just not good enough.

Man Utd have one hand on the title like i said a few posts ago and it will be their fault and no one elses if they lose it from here. To hard to make up these points at this time of the season and we need teams to do favours for us and that doesnt work 99% of the time.

JTC, don't think anyone will argue with you about the technical abilities of the goons, I think they are clearly the best in the EPL outside of their penalty box, but their keeping issues and the sometimes open door policy of their central defenders prevents them from being the best team in the EPL. What I don't understand is that we can all see it, why can't Arse fix it.

Apart from the reply against Orient Arsenal and Man utd will have the same amount of fixtures. Interesting if they matcvh up during FA cup could be a big decider towards the title with rest for the loser.

Wenger is a stubborn bastard who wont pay big money for quality defenders.

Aresnal just havent the experienced players like they did back when they last won the title. Players like Henry, Viera, Campbell, Berkamp, Pires, Wiltord, Keown etc made a great team. they just havent the wise heads to dismantle man utd. Chelsea have Lampard, Terry, drogba, Anelka, Essien, Cole and Cech, guys that know how to win.

Give the gunners a few years and we will see players like Fabregas, Wilshere, Walcott, Vela, Nasri, Song, Ramsey etc showing up clubs like chelsea and man city that have to spend to win titles. I like what redknapp has done with Tottenham, was the right man for the job, just shows that british managers in the premier league are still the best and is proven by what King kenny has done with liverpool and what martin o'neil did with aston villa, also moyes and allendyce with everton and bolton respectivley.
