it was an absolute cracking end to the game

there was a goal that shouldve stood, for Wolves, and for some reason the central ref, called a free kick, when replays showed the player who had scored was actually fouled.........

Wow did this forum take off. Will read what was being said when I get home. Arsenal can't afford a setback against WBA. Need a big win.

Both Defoe goals were screamers. First league goals in open play for 12 months I think, no surprise to see him do it against lowly opposition.

It was probably adrenaline. Michael Barlow stood up after breaking his leg last year and we all know how that ended.

He is not soft but i can see where some guys are coming from. He is just like the boy who cried wolf, he fakes it that often that when he went down last night most people thought he was acting like normal

Suarez rolled around like a bitch later in the game and when he came back on he was fine, didn't see any mention of that on here. ;)

Im a massive nani fan, just wish he would stop diving and faking, he has enough skills and doesnt need to resort to those tactics.

1. I dont recall anyone saying Nani was soft, just that it was an odd situation (the whole getting up then going back down thing again)

2. The Suarez situation happens every game and you're trying to deflect attention by even attempting to compare the two ... He copped a knock (which he brought on himself by trailing his leg) went down, never left the pitch, and returned to action about a minute after going down.

3. If Carragher had been shown Red, then I don't think anyone on here (including us Liverpool supporters) could have been surprised - It was a poor challenge and noone is arguing against that.

4. You got pantsed, it happens, take it on the chin as you'll still likely enjoy the spoils of the premiership and chasing the Champions League title whilst my mob can do nothing but watch on with envy.

You cant defend the indefensible and that was very poor by Nani. Disappointing really as believe it or not he did seem to be improving this part of the game as he got older. But just like his fellow Portugese teammate whose position he now occupies i am not sure you can fully take that theatrical part out of his game. The theatrics is part of their game and i think it is also the reason that they have the confidence to do the stepovers, backheels as they are just naturally flamboyant. But you still cant roll on the ground then chase the ref then roll around again and I am sure Fergie would have given him one of his famous blasts after the game.

Great effort by Suarez in the build up to the first goal however I would like to think that if Vidic was playing then there would have been someone to have the courage to execute a proper tackle rather then the 4-5 poor half tackles he slipped past for fear of a penalty.

Very impressed by Reina during all the handbags as well. On both occasions intervened to get his teammates out of it and let the ref do his job. Hopefully he was just trying to impress his new teammates

Reina is a class act, and as Slater mentioned, I too thought that Miereles showed a touch of class in the way he tried to help settle a distressed Nani.

cant say the same for Van Der Sar in yesterdays game. Everytime a decision went against Man Utd he was seen sprinting towards the ref or linesman complaining.

As JTC mentioned, that's just gamesmanship, nothing in it ... What would be interesting would be if the FA ever grow a spine and outlaw players surrounding referee's.

Wouldn't be an easy job being a ref, these days the players dispute everything (every free, every corner/goal kick, every throw-in) even when they know the correct decision has been made.

Why did he sprint for the first goal, it looked legit? I loved when the commentator said "look the handbags are out" once that first mallee occured.
