to be honest though i think most of the tension was caused by the umpiring performance!

The good old pepper tree hill, can be brutal for the away team, but also the home team!!! One thing you can guarantee is they won't be quite for the whole day. I bet it will be packed for the semi, first home finals appearance for a few years for the Parkies, the locals will be out in force.

Up to Second XI if you made the side?

dropped to the c grade apparently work isn't a good enough reason not to play

So whats ur excuse for not rocking up then. Worried u werent up to it. OR u are too good for that grade. U might want to change ur club listing from Brahma Lodge cos ur gonna find it tough ever getting a cricket game there and as for footy I can see u spitting it by the end of rd 2. Will only last this long cos I wont be there rd 1.

I changed what I originally wrote because I dont want to argue with someone who uses a "smug" smily to describe winning an under elevens match....

Dont try portray me to be a bad guy. Talk about taking things out of context and it had nothing to do with you in the first place!
It wasnt my intention to be smug about the victory nor did i think my comment or a stupid smiley face represent it in that fashion. I'm not going to delve into old posts about the subject when LM said to drop it so just drop it.

I'd be careful when talking about yourself too dude: I qoute " because we won the flag last year and yes I played a decent part in that" and claiming to be a trivial pursuit king....you make yourself sound like a tool.

only two or three would be in the best X11

missing sibbick, oz stama and his partner in crime jimmy and a fit feltus would walk into that side also jenner, chad mcinnes (keeper) - (slapper) haha

How was it embarrassing unknown? What else could have we done but win????

This was the best side that PDCA could put out there because there were 11 committed blokes.

There's a couple of proposals that I wouldn't mind seeing brought up at the AGM, seeing that it's an off week they should raise some discussion on here.
1: I think the rules are too stringent as far as the playing uniform, the Salisbury West one looks good but the number on the back is too small, we should be allowed to have a larger number, perhaps a name but definitely a sponsor logo, in this day and age sponsorship is somewhat imperative for clubs to improve and we should be endorsing it.
Looking at the Sheffield Shield shirts that have been used in the past I can't see why the PDCA clubs shouldn't be allowed to add a bit to their shirts.
2: The introduction of a T20 competition, it could go something like this:
Group A
Parafield Gardens
Salisbury West
Virginia
North Pines
Group B
Salisbury North
Central United
Para Teachers
Brahma Lodge
Group C
Rose & Crown
ATCO
Elizabeth East
Playford
Group D
Craigmore
Eastern Park
Smithfield
One Tree Hill
Group E
Riverside
Two Wells
Angle Vale
Wasleys

* All play each other in their group once.
* Top team from each group goes straight to quarter finals.
* 2nd top from each group progresses to next round plus the the team that finished 3rd in their group with the best NRR.
* All knockout games after the round robin.

These matches can be played on a Sunday, double-headers where it's a preferred option from the club or they can be arranged as a mid-week game prior to the comp starting.
T20 is taking off and we need to get with the times without it being overkill, it's a great way to get spectators at the cricket and to raise money for your club.
Either way, Group D will be going ahead with their own independant comp next season, it's whether the rest of the PDCA want to jump on board or not is up to them. It's been a great money spinner for us in the past.

I agree mate.. needs someone to drive it before th AGM so everyone is aware of the proposal and pros and cons can be weighed up by all clubs prior to the meeting. Would still like to see it played saturdays in the weeks leading up to Xmas and finals afterwards. But thats just my opinion being a family man.

If it was exclusive to one team per club it wouldn't be such a burden, I think they'll oppose playing them in the regular season.
