Can happen. Didn't Para Hills bowl them out for 50 earlier in the season? They have lost a lot of talented players and don't have much to play for. More importantly, will Hope Valley make the 263 runs required to stay in A2? Tough assignment.

Yes, tough assignment indeed, the boys will have to pull something special out of the bag, but have seen stranger things happen in the last game of the year before , so who knows . Get in at the valley and scoring can happen quite quickly , the boys know what is at stake and are pumped for the challenge that lays ahead. Go you valleys !!!!!!!

Valleys are gone. Have struggled since Vaughan left that club. Them and Gepps on the drop and Woody Rechs to win.

Woody Rechs don't have a lot of depth, so they wouldn't want to lose any of their 3 key players.

Speaking to a couple of the turf guys on the PDCA forum the other day and have decided to try my luck direct. looking to find out if there are any available turf pitches north of the city for next season? (Unlikely I know but its worth a try) If any clubs have pitches they dont use every fortnight or second week in the area and would be interested in sharing I would like to hear from them as well. Very greatful for any ideas or PMs. Thanks.

We at kilburn likely would have an alternate round available unfortunately PAOC are in contact to use it then, but if our cricket falls through then we will have an available ground for a whole year. If you put it in writing what your interested in and email it to me at Kilburncricket@hotmail.com I will pass it onto the board.

Thanks very much for that. Its not good for cricket in general to see clubs struggling though. We will be in touch.

Trinity College have a couple of turf decks that I don't reckon they use every Saturday afternoon.

St Ignatius at Athelstone definitely has a couple, although they don't even let Old Ignatians use them on Saturday arvos so I don't like your chances!

There is a turf ground near the aquatic centre used by Blackfriars but I reckon they only have one afternoon team.

Who is using LJ Lewis Reserve this season?

Do Pooraka and Gepps Cross each have four senior sides? They both have two turf ovals. Same at Argana Park - do Penfield-Central Districts have four senior teams? Might be a spare one somewhere there.

If Golden Grove ever get their second ground finished that will free up an oval at Pedare school.

Thanks - a couple I would never have thought of there. Argana is a no go and I think Mawson Lakes use LJ Lewis Reserve? I did hear a rumor they are getting a second oval at some stage however but could be wrong.

Argana is a joke, worst ground ever and Mawson Lakes this year are using LJ but that is for there LOE team and im not sure they will have one again considering they dont seem to be fielding a full side every week, so that may give You an oppurtunity for it next season

Old Ignatians Cricket Club has 4 sides which all play up at the school at Athelstone.

There's a lot of young talent amongst the side that will dominate in a few seasons time. This week we'll be sure to get the job done. 260 is very gettable on Hope Valley.

If James Nash is in the A grade side then i would suggest they have no hope. The loss of Vaughan is massive and would hurt any club.

Correct, just to bring you a little up to speed they have a turf pitch already put in at Brahma Lodge Oval.

Nothing is finalised yet, but we do intend to apply for acceptance into the ATCA next season. We have had a three pitch square layed at Brahma Lodge Oval which will be ready for next year and would obviously like to move as many of our 5 PDCA teams over as possible if our application is accepted.

Gradings etc would be worked out if we are accepted in I suppose.

I would be guessing B1 or A3 as a start. For Brahma Lodge to start in A3 it would mean only 1 team will be promoted from B1. When Reynella joined in 2007/08 they started in A3 and I believe it meant Hectorville missed out on promotion from B1 to A3 as a result. ATCA will be looking to move to 10 team competition, rather than the current 12 teams from 2012/13, so that will also make things interesting in Year 2.

The Lodge boys will struggle big time in ATCA - compared to PDCA, there is very little interest in this Forum. PDCA on page 387. ATCA on page 19. How will they cope without all the online waffle?????

Do you have a fall back position if not accepted, stay in PDCA?

Right Boys, Merki here from afar , amazing the rumors i am hearing here on the sub continent, Rumors coming out of the woody rech boys is that no more marinated chicken wings or pastry's for afternoon tea may have the club a little light on talent for the finals , someones not happy
There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!
