Grub said to me 6 months ago that this kid is the next Nash Rawiller, he said he has modelled his riding on Nash and is doing it extremely well.
I have been particularly impressed with his riding style, grub says he is now as good as any senior jock going around in melbourne, big wraps, do you all agree?

Were you goping to post anything CP or just quote me ;)

Myself and grub always have a cackle at the DH that writes for the Tiser and does the form and puts in his comments, 'leading hoop engaged'.

That is always a clear indication for us to stay away.

What would the record be on this bloke in JC's when in the market? I am serious here.... from a punting perspective he is a complete dud.,.... and yet the big stables keep putting him on..... are we missing something?

I would guess that with the number of rides he gets, he would be in the top 3 favourites around %80 of the time he rides, and I would guess that of the times he is outright favourite he has won no more than %5 of the time in the last 12 months ... just guesswork like I said, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't close.

Well they are good stats aren't they..... no wonder we rate the man so highly. SO if he is $3 to $5 most of the time and wins 1 in 20 he is ' the leading hoop'.
Just goes to show where SA jockeys are at I suppose. He is without doubt the most over-rated jockey in Australia, closely followed by 'free ride' McEvoy!

his record would be very very poor

i guess there are some jockeys who are good for the JC and there are others who are not

I follow the FIsh (whiting) in WA and yet i wouldnt touch him in a JC market

very very poor.....that is an understatement........ the punters who back him every meeting are currently camping in the south park lands.

You have to put it in perspective. Gatt rides a lot more horses 'in the market' than another jockey. He rides for the big stables Hayes, McEvoy, and this seasons leading stable David Jolly and Kav on occasions.
Simply put on those figures above for $379 outlay you would get back $304. which is about 80% of your money back...... may as well go lose your money in the pokies at that rate!!!!!!
These figures would not include his poor provincial stats which would be diabolical IMHO.

Like Avdull and Clark today, but having a bit of trouble seperating them, maybe lean towards Clark given the form he's been in recently ... If looking for a value bet it's that man Nathan Berry again I'd say at $14 (Sportsbet)
