Well you couldn't ask for a better finish to the season, who would've thought we'd have 3 teams vying for that important "minor premiership".
It pretty much all comes down to the Lodge defeating Virginia, if this occurs then all bets are off.
Although capable, I think it's going to be difficult for Rosies to take outright points against the Goats, Bomber will be the key, if he can slap a quickfire 50 or 60 in either innings it will give them the chance they are looking for. Have to go the aerial route up at Goatland Park.
Westies will just have to play their cards right and declare at the right time to maximise their points and still give themselves enough time to bowl the Gardens out.
The Angle Vale game will just be a wait and see how other results pan out, Angle Vale would be pretty keen to chase down the runs heading into the finals to boost their confidence, we need to win.

Considering there is only a couple of people who post on here from r&c and it definately wasn't me, i would say your informations is BS!!
As for the dig about being glad you play elsewhere blah blah blah, well thats great, you enjoy the extra few weeks off at the end of the season im pretty sure r&c haven't been as successfull over the past couple years by paying off the opposition... HAVE A THINK ABOUT IT!

with people like Papas, Gunnerson, Merki and Sports Follower posting on this forum there has been plenty of sh!t posts. but Phantom no offence but i reckon ur post of declaring 20 runs shy of a grand final win with 3 wickets in hand has to take the cake! its just pure 100% rubbish talk. i dont care what batsmen u have to come in next, u just would not do it.

i know if i was on the fielding side, n the battin side only needed 20 runs with 3 wickets in hand i would be praying for somethin special. and if they declared i would be jumping for joy, it would be like all my christmas' have come at once. i doubt any team in history in any form of cricket in any country in the world has declared in that situation and i honestly doubt it will ever happen in the future. for your own teams sake i would hope if u make the grand final, n ur captain... that ur team doesnt need 20 with 3 wickets remaining to win the game

Surely no one would anyway, would they?
Although what about if say you are in a final, your last 2 or 3 batsmen were absolute rubbish but you had a gun bowling lineup, you got within say 20 runs or so, maybe it would be in the best interest of your side to declare and bowl them out again? By declaring you are really giving yourself more overs and time to have a crack at them and really in the context of things, if your batsmen are that bad you are going to lose the game either way, its probably your best option?

I can see an agreement coming into the R&C vs OTH match, no matter the outcome of the first innings, and maybe during the AV vs Smithy's. Other matches there is no chance....especially with our guys vs Virginia.

I know you are having a well deserved pot shot at Catchit Groover, and you deserve to after all the rubbish he says about the boundaries... BUT having been the one that Catchit spoke to, I can guarantee you that there was no more seriousness in his chat to me than there is in his pot shots at you, and there is no way that I or anyone from OTH would throw it anyway.

the comments were all in good fun and not a legitimate request. Jimmy even had a muck around with me asking what are my 5 fave beers and would throw cartons our way to try and get top spot. Not at any point did he make this serious. We all just had a chuckle.

As for the game, i am not playing but would love to have finished off the season playing against the rosies boys. i will be down there at some point on sat and i am sure there will be a game on our hands. Rosies are in a good position now to set a total so should be exciting.
