Come to think of it, the larger oval at Parafield Gardens is I think more suitable to the strengths of our B grade.

Yep, all you need now is for Groover to put the boundry out for you and you guys may start favourites.

So Craigmore favourites then you think?

Craigmore is quite suited to large ovals and have done well this season on large grounds, didnt think Parafield was huge due to soccer goals. Craigmores oval is no mouse park.
50/50 IMO both games have been close this season with about 18 runs the biggest winning margin, so anyones game.

Yeah I realise 5 teams in semi's but were you given an option on where it was played, I would of thought Craigmore may of been asked to host the game, not bothered where it is played as "most" pitches are the same concrete and grass is grass.

Why would Craigmore have been asked to host the game? If you wanted the home final you shoulda finished 2nd ;)

I thought they may have looked after you Masha and not have you travel so far, I hope the travel doesnt make a HUGE advantage to Brahma. ;)

I haven't played at Parafield Gardens but by all accounts, the ground is the best in Grade 1 for value for shots. I am sure it will be fine and won't make a difference to either side.

You are right, if it had of been played at Uley Road I could have left at 12:14 and been there by 12:15 ;)

Think youll find R&C top by 1-2 points, followed by Brahma and SW. Not sure of official points, I would think that will be confirmed tomorrow.

Finals:

R&C vs AV
BL vs SW

R&C will be delighted they avoided SW, after been pantsed by them twice this year. Brahma will have to put aside the disappointment of the previous years finals series to get home in this one. It will be a cracker!!!!

me thinks r & c easily beat av after smithfield gave them a cricketing lesson ;) and the westies (best opening bowling partnership in comp) to beat bl who rely to heavily on sibbick. however cricket is a funny game and your only as good as your last innings.

on a personal note...... given we beat relegation, warm up those vocal cords LM old mate...hear we go.... Its a geat great club.... its the club we love... its the good ol blue n white... :partyman: :partyman: i hope you got your pen working on our new cricketing version you were tellling me about saturday night after beer number 26 i think...... great night that, alot of man love n back slapping going on if i can remember. we will have that sung at the club after all wins next year... bring it on ;)

The back slapping definitely got harder the longer the night wore on, I remember nearly getting slapped off my stool a couple of times, no one was safe.
The one good thing that will come out of our footy going through a rough stage is that the S&SC have acknowledged that they need to focus more on cricket to become more professional.
Good times ahead............and yeah, a new song, especially for cricket.

Ha, I'm never one to count my chickens, even defending 9/355 I wasn't going to sprout off, we replayed the comments many times last night, there was a great deal of man love going on, we won our flag as pitiful as it may seem, we set out with a plan 6 weeks ago, we achieved it.

great news mate, you guys have worked hard and have some young talent that can take that club to the next level. Congrats LM

Yeah most people i speak to in the PDCA confirm this, saying Brahma is the club they love to hate....not sure why?
I thought all Grades counted BF?

Everything from grade two down I think... It must be getting bad when even Craigmore get more love..... ;)

Not sure there is a lot of love up the hill.

there is love at the hill when rosies come to play.......is it too early to stir the pot again? or do people now realise that reality is away from the computer screen?

i am sure there are a few Brahma boys asking a few questions, i had no involvement in the game but OTH wanted another win after the outright victory against Virginia the game before. Setting 135 was not a bad effort, its probably our 4th highest total of the year. If the reveres outright didnt look like it was going to happen. The OTH boys were never going to hand rosies an outright win to them on a platter. The rosies boys had to work hard to chase that total down in 26 overs and got there with an over remaining. Credit to them for getting there. Could have been a totally different game if Bob gave catchit out at the start of the day, Should have been 5/50. Thats the way the cookie has crumbled tho.

All i can say is that i assure you that there is no pakistani corruption going on up the hill.

It definitely looked rigged when we heard that OTH had declared and set R&C 110-120 from 20 overs. There were some pretty pissed off people, but then we found out the full story and everyone (or most) got over it. No biggie.

In the end, are anyone surprised that OTH got rolled so easily in the second innings? They have been piss poor for most of the year, and although I dont have the stats in front of me, I wouldn't be surprised if their second innings total (130-140) was probably in their top 5 scores for the year, please correct me if I'm wrong.

settle pettle, no one told anyone about a declaration. i was in contact with browny during the day and he knew what was going on. I just said it was one of our top scores for the year. no need to repeat what i just said and i dont think its a stat that anyone really cares about to go correct you on. No kidding it was a very poor year of cricket up at the hill. 6th on the ladder is exactly where we deserved to finish. Its just been one of those years where nothing much went right from the start. Time to get behind the D grade in their semi final this week and also check out the grade 1 finals. Should be some good cricket. May the best team win. Top spot means nothing at all if you cant bring home the big one, dunno what all the crying was over.

Time to reflect and rebuild at the hill and start another season off fresh.
