Finished 3rd after the minor round and lost in the Prelim which they should of won....reckon you'll have your hands full and will be surprised by the standard.

we have picked up some very handy players and our 2007 squad is ALLOT stronger then the 06 squad

picked up a very capable full foward, a strong chb, plus 7-10and als good midfielders o a new ruckman

If my memory is correct, Hope Valley and Lockleys were batteling each other to avoid relegation. I think Hope Valley was due to get relegated on percentage. But then Kaurna lost points and the rest is now history. Now i cant say if Hope Valley and Lockleys played at a good standard or not, but looking at it the way you are, the only team taht you mentioned that appears to be a good or decent div 6 team is Uni. In saying that though, Hope Valley and Lockleys may do alright this year, but the point im trying to make scott is that 2 of the 3 teams you named were in a similar postion to your team.

Just make a note im not bagging Hope Valley or Lockleys alright Dutchy :). Just using your method there scott work evalute things.

I think when CLG knocked off Unis last year, it was in the middle of Uni holidays which always seems to be a difficult time for that club. (players going away, exams etc.) I think they got flogged both weeks of the holidays by recolection which suggests they didnt field their strongest side.

As for Hope Valley losing to CLG, that was our own fault. Last year we seemed to step up against the stronger teams and stoop to the level of the lower teams. We managed to knock off Greenacres, Westminster and Mitchell Park yet we dropped games against CLG, Lockleys and Kaurana. A problem that we are confident that we can overcome this year.

CLG werent a strong team last year but should b ok going down to div 7

Whilst I applaud blokes of a lesser skill level and even those former greats who retire down the ranks please lets not get ahead of ourselves. A monkey on a stick could get a game in Div 7, most likely with St Paul's FC. Wasn't the last medalist in that division a bloke who had a wouldnt leg with a kick stand, possibly a ruckman?

No revenge necessary my dear boy, I reckon it piss funny taking the mickey out of Div 7. Especially with blokes talking it up.
Need any players in 07? My brothers 3 legged grey hound wants a game, he'd make a handy wingman I reckon. With all the money floating around in this div I reckon he'd go close to 300 quid a game with bonuses if he doesnt bite anyone.

[quote="scottroo"]Prediction Thread

Ladder

Colonel Light Gardens
Saint Pauls
Wingfield
Paralowie
Kaurna Eagles

North Pines
Trinity
Henley
TTG
Western Warriors

Association Medal- Stephen Hammond CLGFC

Nth Pines will finish in top half easy this year, they have picked up four very telented players one being Jason Cattonar who originally was chased hard and had signed with Athelstone's A'grade however chose to take some mates with him to the pines so he didnt have to train and could concentrate on uni.
Depending on which team rocks up on the day Kaurna Eagles will be hard to beat!
