I would think there season will depend heavily on the two key forwards and I believe one of them may not play a lot of footy with a nagging injury. If he does they will kick enough goals to win their share of matches

stop talking up heccies. it was better last year when we were relegation favourites  for what its worth, when that fwd missed about 6 games last wk and we didnt lose one...although i think he kicked a bag against elizabeth when we lost

looking fwd to playing at salisbury again. great oval and the fact we won our GF there!

No room for a fat, slow forward pocket in that side, no matter how crafty he is.

Elizabeth ticked all the boxes, recruits fitted in well, had height, pace and used the ball well. Plenty of scoring options and plenty to choose from to have a run on the ball.
Good depth in the magoos aswell.

Yeah they'll be alright, was pretty much goal for goal for the first three quarters, think we were about a goal up at 3/4 time and kicked away a bit in the last quarter. They've got a good even spread, plenty of contributors, Wooton moves well (hurt an ankle yesterday, hobbled around for the second half) and Ocenasek was clearly their best, the rest seemed like they all knew their roles within the structure and they moved the footy pretty well at times. Will play finals I reckon.

Was just good for us to get a good start after dropping a similar game to Westminster (coming up from Div 5) in Round 1 last year.

How did the Fitzroy/Greenacres game go? Surprised to see they had 30 scoring shots.

Fitzroy started out very well but sustained 4 bad injuries leaving us with no interchange but thats footy. The first half was a great battle with the roys only being down 2 goals and having more scoring shots. Second half was mostly one way with greenacres sharp shooting was getting them the upper hand and at on stage they where 12 goals and only 4 behinds. Greenacres had too much run that the roys couldnt cover with no bench and also missed shots on goal. All credit to Greenacres on a good win as they will be right up there at the pointy end of the season.
