[quote="IN THERE"]Fitzroy started out very well but sustained 4 bad injuries leaving us with no interchange but thats footy. The first half was a great battle with the roys only being down 2 goals and having more scoring shots. Second half was mostly one way with greenacres sharp shooting was getting them the upper hand and at on stage they where 12 goals and only 4 behinds. Greenacres had too much run that the roys couldnt cover with no bench and also missed shots on goal. All credit to Greenacres on a good win as they will be right up there at the pointy end of the I

I'm guessing your a glass half full kind of guy IN THERE? :)
Fitzroy probably had 90 percent of the possession in the first 15 - 20 mins for 1.8, I thought after that we pretty much controlled the game, was a great physical hitout, had a few boys under done who would of been sore yesterday! Thanks to fitzroy for the hospitality after the game we look forward to returning the favour at our ground with a few cold ones, hope it was a good night at the club with the band playing!

No match for Scotch on the weekend, they moved the ball really well with hand and foot a couple of good targets up forward.

We looked like a team with new guys. Butchered the ball. Scotch will be a very good side and will take a power of beating.

Slotted in perfectly in the forward pocket next to A.J. They could kick 150 goals between them

Dunno what the fuss was about they're bloody ordinary :p

Early days but is it looking grim for Kilburn again?

They just all seemed to be very quick to push forward when they had the footy, but just way to lazy gettin back.
Heard a supporter yellout in the last quarter when they were still in the game 'you got em now, theyre old legs have had it'
We then proceeded to turn on 3-4 goals to seal the game

Well the results of round 1 certainly make the second round interesting with
Heccies v WOS
Scotch v Pultney
Unley v Salisbury
Chics V Roys
Greenies v Eagles

some big games here with a couple of clubs looking to appear dominant early

Not sure which match will be "game of the round" .... shaping up as good even division much like last year

Think Unley v Salisbury may just get the lollies with Salisbury looking for a bit of payback from late last year perhaps...PAG???
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

Kilburn were missing plenty from the weekend from what ive heard, apparently the club is working hard on changing the culture and attitude around the club so several players were sat out for not training etc.
Good move from the club if true, may cop some beatings but in the long run better serve the club and attract and retain good people and players.

Kilburn werent at full strength but im sure were not gonna be at full strength through out the year at any point either (injuries,Work, etc) if we cant get a committment from players then their names wont be on the selection table. we make no excuses for our effort on saturday, elizabeth were hungrier for the pill than us. however a week is a long time in footy so we hope to get good numbers on the track and suit up against fitzroy at home with a better performance.

Are there any players from Pulteney or Unley on here...

I heard that the center wicket area was like concrete... If true, I hope it isn't like that when we play there...

Elizabeth had at least 4 walk-up starters not playing either. They were a better side on the day, they went and got the ball where Kilburn held back and waited for the easy one, they went forward with purpose and didn't clog their forward line which allowed their forwards to lead into space.
Elizabeth's tackling and pressure on the ball carrier didn't let up all day and they forced Kilburn's rebound to go wide instead of down the guts.
Former safootynet legend "Shrek" played well for the Chic's, his voice and efforts in the back half were duly noted and saved them from a bit of a spanking.

I imagine Jamie Thomas wouldn't be to happy with players sitting off packs waiting for the easy ball. my guess is they would of copped it at training this week

Anyone that I've spoken to that has had Jamie as a coach has rated him as the best coach that they have played under, a huge coop for the KFC.

Is it true Scotch OC had 13 new players in their A team last Saturday ? Apparently most of last year’s A team played in the B’s. And beat Westminster by 20 goals. Who are their 2 gun recruits – ex SANFL ? Can I get on those 25/1 odds that were floating around ?

Let that be a lesson to you, Port Adelaide Sturt. & Norwood You don't beat Glenelg in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Betting suspended. No chance they had 13 " New " players.may have had 13 that did not play rd 18 last year perhaps ??? They are a good side..( maybe the team to beat ) It is round 1. If they had most of the A grade playing in the B grade i think thats the reason they are in Div 4.

Wasn't quite 20 goals mate, more like eight. A few new names but not 13 I wouldn't think, would be very hard to fit 13 new A Graders in under the points system.
