You still need to win the CL 3 more times to truly pass Liverpool as the greatest English club side of all time

RoosterMarty wrote:Lehmann shouldn't have been sent off because Blackpool scored from the advantage, a bit like the Champs League Final except the ref in that game got it wrong by sending Lehmann off and awarding a penalty despite a goal being scored.

Arsenal should have given away a penalty which would have made it 2-2 though, Koscielny committed two horrendous tackles and could have easily been sent off. It seems that United aren't the only team to benefit from dodgy refereeing. ;)

Barca never got a penalty from that champs league final, it was a free kick in the circle. Arsenal were 1-0 up then almunia, enough said

Chelsea now 5 pts clear in 3rd and only 1 point behind Arsenal. can see them not dropping too many points in remaining fixtures but i think we have just enough points in the bank to hold them off, Arsenal on the other hand worry me, need our old merseyside pals to nick at least a point tonight [-o<

Yep, they looked completely lost yesterday. Defence was terrible and the fans have started to turn on Holli.

They have 4 home games but their home record is the worst in the league, and the last game is away to Man U.

Havnt heard much over here but in singapore there was a big write up about Birmingham.
Apparantly in huge financial trouble and UEFA are about to stop them playing European football next season. As carling cup winners they are granted a spot in the europa league but UEFA can block their entry as they did with Portsmouth.
Think the vote is in a couple of weeks

Dramatic end this morning. Arsenal scored a penalty in the 8th minute of injury time to take a 1-0 lead and game looked all over but liverpool went down the other end and earnt a penalty themselves. Kuyt scored with last kick of day to earn a 1-1 draw. Wenger carried on like a knob and confronted the refs and then dalglish. The penalty looked a little harsh but seen plenty like that given. Leaves Arsenal 6pts behind with 6 to play. Title destiny well and truly in our hands, need only 12 points to clinch it and hopefully we can take all 3 from newcastle. Still a twist left in title somewhere i feel but looks like the Arsenal v United game could be the deciding match

ref lost us the win and gave Man Utd the title. All over now there is no way Man U will drop 6 points . Another year of nothing. Looking forward until next season now.

yes but the away games we have left - spurs/stoke and bolton we never play well at those recently so im not expecting much although our away record is better then our home record this season.

noticed fergie in the crowd at the emirates in this mornings game.

Big week coming up. If results go our way we could be champions on sunday. We play newcastle away on tuesday and you have spurs away wednesday. Then we have everton home saturday, if we win both and you drop points at spurs, we could be 12 up saturday which we mean you need to beat bolton away to stay alive.
Realistically i can see us pasting newcastle tonight and scraping a tight win against everton. You guys should account for spurs so there is still a few weeks of angst yet

dont disagree with you but theres a valid point you made. We need to beat spurs to stay alive and also bolton. Considering our home form of late is rubbish we should be ok. But its the derby against 'them' (spurs) and they are looking for fourth and we the EPL title so will be a big game. We have already beaten them there this season in carling cup so hopefully we can have the same result. There will be no extra time this game ;)
