Port Pirie 2/3/07

Postby SCD » Thu Mar 01, 2007 7:47 pm

Tough night up north - so be careful on the punt

R1 - 2,3,10 on top with place hopes to 1,4,7,8
R2 - 3,5,8,10 the main hopes in a tough race
R3 - 3,8 on top from 1,2 and place hopes 7,9
R4 - 1,4,7,8 the main hopes in another tough race
R5 - 2 looks a good e/w chance, other hopes 1,7,8,9
R6 - 5 on top from 1,2,4,7
R7 - 7 is the only one I know and think it goes good enough to win
R8 - 4,5 on top from 1,3,6,7,9

Suggested Bets
R3 - 3place
R5 - 2 e/w
R6 - 5 w

Betfair Specials
R3 - 2 - big jump in grade and think the 3 and 8 look better e/w chances
R4 - 2 - don't know the driver, and can't improve off P Thompson.. can it??

port pirie 2/3/07

Postby bayman » Thu Mar 01, 2007 10:46 pm

port pirie,

r1 i would think that 3,4,5 would just about run the trifecta with 2 some hope of splitting them in the placings 3 is top pick
r2 main chances 3,5,8,9 with 7,10 next best the 3 top pick
r3 chances 3,7,8,9 i'll be on 7 e/w ran on well last start
r4 chances 2,4,5,7,8 i like 5 e/w a lot as is racing very well without luck
r5 chances 2,7,8,9 i like 2 a lot, it looks the leader & last time it led it beat mals pets zettarl & aratusa lass home & that is terrific form for this
r6 i would think 2,4,5 would run the trifecta with 1 a very rough hope of running third
r7 of those that have raced its 7 from 2 but watch market on the first starters as i know very little about them
r8 4 looks winner (do not take it too short as is a plodder who sticks on well, will not miss money) the 7 looks the logical danger from 1,2,3,5

betfair lay
r2 no 2 one of mals pets but it drinks milk (ie cat)
r8 no 6 a lot harder here from this draw

suggested bet(s)
allup
r1 no 3 place
r2 no 3 place
r5 no 2 place
r6 no 5 place
r8 no 4 place

if affordable (i'm taking it)
treble
3,5,8,9/3,7,8,9/2,4,5,7,8 (presuming the treble is on races 2,3,4)

good luck on the punt
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

scd r4 no2 driver brad sims is not the worst driver going around, he drives ok & does think in his races, so if you like him don't hesitate to back a horse you like that he is on

Horse has been flying.. good 2nd at Mildura, great 3rd last Saturday night - no surprise to see him go good... good to see some consistent form around the pirie area and not trying to work out stable runners in every race for once..
