Hmmmm the heavy roller worked at the bowling crease - now he's going to have to do something at the batting crease.

Is anyone else here annoyed that Lehmann got out in the last over of yesterday's play, caught on the square leg boundary playing a skied sweep shot? Not exactly setting a great example there Boof.

We would all love Boof to make a ton every dig but the fact is he has been setting a
grest example for the last 20 years but unfortunatley no one seems to follow.
Boofs played the same way his whole career so why would he change now?
Even Bradman stuffed up his last innings! Why did he do that for?

Missing the second ball you face and being bowled is a lot different from holing out in the outfield on 29 in the last over of the day.

Agreed AH, all he had to do was see out the over and it was stumps, a very silly way to get out, sums up the season really.

So many starts so little big score conversions

D HARRIS
J BORGAS
C FERGUSON
M COSGROVE
N ADCOCK

Need to make big scores too many 20s-30s-40s all year.

Yeah BOOF played a bad shot, but way too many credits as an attacking
batsman to be condoning on one innings chaps.
I guess after 20 years of cricket you will do something poor.

If a bowler bowls carp you should smash it, no different to 2nd ball
the next day or the 50th over next week as far as im concerned.

I wonder what the Redback boys are doing right now. An exhaustive net session? They are probably on the golf course or something. Cosgrove would be at Pizza Hut.

I'm frustrated because I honestly feel this team has enough talent to be fiercely competitive, if not win the whole damned shooting match. 2006-07 is a season that must not repeat itself anytime soon. Another year like this next season, and I doubt my interest will remain.

Memo to Matthew Elliott: There a full page story in the Sunday Mail where you say you will prove you can still bat. Matthew, don't TELL me ... SHOW me!!! In the meantime, STFU and get out there and work on your game.

I'll probably get shot down for this but I reckon Matty was due and probably should have been given one more chance *ducks flying ash trays and beer bottles*. He has been batting well in the one day stuff so I would have stuck by the guy till the end of the year, he couldn't have done any worse than the majority of batsmen in that first dig.

The Shield final is decided next week but my lot has to play Tassie while the Vics have to play the Bulls. The Warriors would have to be favourites because they are playing the bloody Redbacks. Unfortnately, we didn't clean them up when we had the chance and will probably now pay the penalty. :x

YES I agree whole-heartedly, MATTY should have been given another chance, I mean he is due for another score of 10 in both innings to record yet another brilliant double, which may have kept his avg for the season at around 8.
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!
