I can't see North winning to be honest. Too many changes and to lose 2 experienced midfielders in Wright and Backwell has to hurt us (plus a running defender) big time. Other than Allan the rest of the midfield "on ball brigade" is light on for size and experience and despite Ackland being in great form the reliance on Allan will be too much this week. Don't think we will have enough supply to Alleway and Gill to kick a big score.

the weather could be your only saviour, Tony. To lose those 2 players is a huge loss.

Matt Duldig always seemed to save his best games for when the Bays played the Roosters. I'll be interested to see if he turns it on again.

Sturt are pretty short down back and in pretty poor form, esp. with regards to judging a ball in the air, so I expect North to win if they get enough forward entries, given their tall options in the forward line. Allan has the capability to cover for one of North's missing midfielders with his pants on fire...no problems there.

As for our midfield well it all looks okay on paper. Take away a ruckman though and we are useless there, as shown last week. Our setup at the stoppages was diabolical. Even if Kurtze plays we are still an experienced ruckman short IMO. He can't do it all himself...or can he?? Hope I'm wrong. In any case it's great to be back at Unley :)

Norths side looks great and gill always turns it on against us...gotta find a way to stop him. Having him and alleway as targets is going to be tough on our backs.

Come on blues, gotta show some c**t if we are to be around the mark

I've picked North. So far, every game I've picked us we've lost by 40+. As Sam Kek would say "you know it makes sense".

Good luck to Max Thring who looks like he will make his League debut for the Roosters today.

Yep, with 2 Thrings in the side I can see the ABBA hit getting some mileage today.

Coached the lad a little while back. Always gave 100% and good to see him getting a chance against his old club Sturt. Good luck to him.
