Good to see Sully make it through the reserves game, rested for the full final qtr after dominating at times in the 3rd. Will be a useful addition to the midfield in a couple of weeks with Boyd, Gowans and Dutschke all likely to miss for a while.

Sully 23 possesions 1 goal and at least 5 tackles in 3 quarters of football.

7. C.O'Sullivan - 23 disposals, 7 tackles, 7 clearances, 1 goal

Given the injury situation today I'm surprised he didn't fall off onto one of the exiting players........

well i went to the game believeing we'd win or at worst lose in a close game   as we'd get that same full four quarter effort we saw against norwood, first half i thought we had as much of the ball as central but they did it a lot smarter, cleaner & with confidence than us, in hindsight perhaps boyds goal (cd's 2nd i think) when he hi fived a spectator was the writing on the wall, anyway by halftime i actually thought we could still win given i thought we had got enough of the ball but burnt it way too often & central didn't have a bench, however we just rolled over & died, no spark no just have a crack, no anything just players going through the motions, i think we had one winner & that was ruory kirkby, while it is one game in a long season it proves that mentally we are beaten before we start & reading the snouts there is talk that a coaching panel member said we can't seem to be able to work them out even after watching them for a number of years.....ffs it is obvious what they do they work harder & go forward & bloody put in for an entire game with a never give in attitude, rather than just giving up

as for the ''main challengers'' as mentioned above we weren't beforehand & certainly not now, there is no doubt in my mind barring injuries that central will play wwt in the grand final they are clearly the best 2 teams & there is a gap to the rest headed by west, bays around the middle of the 'pecking order'
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

WOW WEE. What a win!!!! To be 33 points up at half time and to win by 75 points with no bench after half time was unbelievable. This would have to be one of the clubs best minor round game performance EVER especially the circumstances. ABSOLUTE SENSATIONAL!!!!

Was there, was nothing in it, just giving as much as he copped back, good to see him have a sense of humour in the end.

Central were fantastic. They simply smashed a weak and insipid side.

Their leadership, coaching & playing roster in the A's is just first class.

They stick to a plan which is simple to execute, and works.

Well done to them. As for Glenelg. Disgrace to the Black n Gold today. You showed NOTHING.

I love this quote from Roy Laird:

''Some clubs would look at it (injuries) as an excuse, for us it was an opportunity to do something pretty special.''

His record speaks for itself, but he must be an amazing person to be around. His outlook and how he parts that on people around him continues to be so impressive.

Spot on bayman. Yes they have skill and depth but it mostly comes down to their work rate and belief, and the consistency of that.

Maybe they are suffering from the StKilda syndrome. Been up for along time for little success. Slowly losing the drive, and getting tired of the coaches message.
